CAW BIO: Slick B (Deceased)
Ringname: Slick B
Full Name: Seth Jacob Brigard
Birthdate: May 15th, 1992
Date of Death: January 27th, 2018 (26)
Billed From: Detroit, Michigan
Debut: Genesis #28 (February 18th, 2016 in real-time)
Slick B was an american-professional wrestler and hip-hop artist. He was signed to wrestling promotion juggernaut; CMV. Mostly being used as enhancement talent, later in his career, Slick B would form a stable with several other CMV superstars named "The Minutemen". A day before Absolution 2018, Slick B was found dead in his hotel from an apparent overdose. At the biggest pay-per-view in CMV's line up, Ascendance IV, Slick B was honored with the Slick B Memorial Battle Royale, the winner was given his unfinished Mix Tape and a chance to enter the 2018 Battle Scars Money in the Bank match.
Early Life
Not much is known about Seth's upbringing but it can be assumed it was quite tough. Growing up in the harder part of Detroit, Brigard took to writing music to keep himself away from the drugs and gang violence that surrounded him. By his own account, at around 18 he signed up at local wrestling school to set him self further apart from his friends and family who had fallen so hard. While his wrestling abilities were not widely renowned, Brigard was great at taking bumps. In early 2015, CMV scouts saw this "talent" and signed him to a year-long developmental contract which would lead to his signing with CMV Fusion and Genesis main roster somewhere near the end of 2016.
Main Roster Debut / The Minutemen
While Slick B had several Live Event matches off camera, he made his main roster debut on Genesis #28 where he was ringside for his stable mates Abbot Bass and Tyson Newman. Again Slick B would play manager for his stable at Regicide when Abbott Bass and Rex Carter would take on The Trail Blazers in the #1 contender Tag Turmoil series for the then Tag Team Champions, T & Lee. They would push to the second round of the Turmoil match where they would face the two men that defeated them 2 days before, The Bromancers. But again the Minutemen would prevail. Not until the third round were they were defeated by The Foreign Affairs.
Death
Only 24 hours before the pay-per-view Absolution 2018, Brigard was found dead in his hotel, 22 miles out from the venue for the event. Fellow stablemates Abbott Bass and Tyson Newman found him face down on the bathroom floor. Initial reports were sketchy and it wasn't until a month later via autopsy was it confirmed that Brigard had large amounts of Vicodin in his system. CMV released statements on the loss of Brigard, all overwhelmingly heartfelt. The Minutemen and several other CMV Superstars attended the funeral.
Legacy
Almost 2 months after his death, CMV announced that the Battle Royale would be held in Brigard's honor, the winner receiving his unfinished mix tape. At the event, Brigard's cousin, Slim B joined Mr. Dashing on commentary for the match. A day after the match it was announced that the winner would also have an opportunity to qualify for the Money in the Bank match at Battle Scars.
