Gumble's Raucous Recap! (Fusion #61)

Post by Gumblesaur on Tue Nov 01, 2016 11:57 am

Parker vs Mike Miles

The camera pans to the main stage as Parker finally reveals himself, returning after a short hiatus Parker is seen clutching a green crystal, smashing it to the ground the crystal disintegrates and causes green smoke to billow across the stage, as it clears Parker starts walking down the ramp only to be ambushed from behind by Chris Andrews. After putting up a small struggle Andrews finally puts him down as officials scramble to break up the attack.

The Hooligans vs The REAL #1 Bubbas

With both teams debuting it is no surprise that each would want to start their careers off in winning fashion, The Hooligans dominate the first phases of the match, showing great teamwork to cut off the opposing half of ring suffocating Andoni. After a plucky flurry of offense Andoni falls to a double northern lights suplex and the Hooligans pick up the win.

Susanna vs Fury

Flanked by Bill Maverick and Valderiss, Susanna makes her way to the ring looking menacing as ever. The camera takes us backstage; Fury makes her entrance the seething rage almost piercing through her sunglasses.

The match begins, with a strong start Fury bursts out of the gate with something to prove, Fury who is clearly not at 100% makes a mistake and Susanna takes control of the match, from that point the complexion of the match changes for the worse. Susanna towering over fury brings her up for a huge Sit-Out Last Ride Powerbomb, Fury shows strong determination and kicks out at 2, eyes wide with shock Susanna beats Fury up more showing more of a brawling style finally putting a stop to the beating she lifts Fury up for one more Powerbomb and covers 1.2….NO Fury kicks out again showing true grit and resiliency. Kicking out of both Powerbombs Susanna is clearly perplexed as she beckons Fury to get up to her feet hitting her with a third and final Powerbomb for the victory.

Paul Divine vs Mack

After being called out by Party Hard, Paul Divine representing the New Gods came into this match looking to prove his point about talent being outshined by mic skills and backstage politics.

The match starts with a technical masterclass by whom other than ‘The Asian Sensation’ Paul Divine, a showcase of different variations of neckbreakers and some well-place strikes. After taking control of the match Mack strings some offense together culminating with a ‘Partyplex’ into a Superkick attempt, dodging the stray leg Divine fails to capitalise on the missed opportunity by Mack as he walks straight into a Bearhug Spinebuster and the match rolls on with Mack in the driver seat. In an incredible turn of events, Divine counters an irish whip rebounding Mack off the ropes and catapults him into the air, only for him to be brought down with a huge Jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick, Divine covers Mack but only for a 2 count. After taking control of the match Divine gets a bit cocky and starts taunting the crowd, leaving the opportunity for a Superkick to land on the chin of ‘The Asian Sensation’ and covers for the 1..2….NO! Divine kicks out! After a back and forth battle between both superstars Divine catches Mack out with a huge standing Spanish Fly and picks up the victory.

Void vs Kitty Quinn Belle

The tone of the match is set opening with a couple of even exchanges.

Throughout the match both vixens made some beautiful counters, clearly having scouted each other out it seemed like it was hard for any vixen to take control of the match. Void capitalises on a springboard moonsault by Quinn and from there Void captures the control of the match, fighting out of an Irish sleeper by Quinn, Void sets Belle up for a Standing Shiranui and covers Quinn for the 2 count, Void with no hesitation goes over to the corner and gestures for Quinn to get up only for the impact of a Running knee to catch the side of her head, kicking out at 2 again Quinn shows heart and takes back control of the match putting void into the corner and hitting her with a vicious slap followed by a jumping knee to Void’s ribs. Following a to and fro exchange Quinn finds herself on the top rope turning to the crowd for motivation she leaps off and gets caught with a monstrous Powerbomb by Void and sets her up for a 2nd Knee strike only to fall into the trap of pandering to the fans instead of ending the match! Quinn takes control again and hits Void with a huge Botch-Plex but after kicking out Void gets an opening and Locks in a savage Muta Lock for the win.

Dallas Chandler (Hellhounds) vs Pierre Thompson

In a 5~ minute match there really isn’t much to say as Pierre Thompson just didn’t bring his A-Game.
Apart from some showings of life from Thompson, Chandler dominated the match with a wide array of offensive manoeuvres. Using various grapples and volatile strikes to pick apart Thompson it really was no surprise when he picked up the 3-count after a ‘Slatewalk Slam’ (fuck you dashing) followed by a F-5 (definitely not a Coney Island Cyclone).

Billy Weaver vs Justin Sane

After suffering a controversial loss to the Anarchy Champion Chris Andrews, Billy Weaver had something to prove coming into this match.

The match begins and Justin Sane explodes out of his corner with some high impact offense, using knees and head-butts in the early stages of the match, the bout goes back and forth for a while before a reversal from sane opens up a opportunity for the JUMPING CUTTER, after kicking out comfortably Weaver takes control of the match with his signature brawling style and unorthodox offense using explosive corner elbows. Now dominating the match, Weaver comes to life with some brutal right hands and a wide variety of suplexes cutting Sane open in the middle of it all. Weaver perhaps getting over zealous goes to the top rope in the hope of finishing the match. Weaver glides gracefully through the air… time seeming to slow down, his beard and what little hair he has left flows as he makes his way through the air… but Sane pops up and hits him with a HUGE DREAM CRUSHER, Sane covers Weaver for the 1..2….NO! Weaver kicks out! An incredulous look on Sane’s face, clearly surprised by the grit shown by Weaver, picks himself up and goes over to the corner, beckoning Weaver to get up he hits him with a 2nd  DREAM CRUSHER and covers him for the 3 count.
