Eight of Friday night Genesis' very best will collide in this epic Deadly Games tournament, the very first of it's kind here in CMV. Tables, ladders, chairs, steel cages, any type of weapon you can possibly imagine is set-up and ready to be implemented as a randomizer will decide which type of match-up each stage will be competed in. The winner surely will not leave without brandishing the wounds of war, but they'll also receive the grandest prize of them all; a shot at the CMV Alpha World championship later on in tonight's main event!
This past month the villainous trio of RISE have really kicked their aggression meter up, making enemies out of the three men that will stand across from them here tonight. When looking at the pairing of Kaiva, International champion, Randy Borton and Alpha World champion, Bob Luger, one may see an unstoppable force, but these three, despite their common foes in Silva, Vachon and Ivanovic, also have beefs with each other that we saw cost them a match just a few days ago on Genesis. Can they pull themselves together for just one night only and find a way to work together as the cohesive and malicious unit known as RISE is baring down on them, looking to make a statement?
Undefeated in singles competition, Guri Sukanov, makes his pay-per-view debut here tonight, when he and The Big Red Monster, Marcantel, collide to determine who truly is Genesis' resident monster!
Since coming to Monday night Fusion only four months ago, the CMV United States champion, Schmidty, has certainly made himself quite comfortable. He's now happily married to Laura Schmidt-Sampson, and because of that has the general manager of CMV's flagship show, Big Johnny, in his pocket. He's got the two mountainous beasts known as Desolation, Trauma and the CMV Anarchy champion, Bludgeon, watching his back and a parade of goons including James and Ted Dickens constantly telling him just how great he is. But along the way to his throne of gold he's pissed off a slew of superstars, most notably the three that have banded together here tonight to try and topple his regime, The Cure, Bannon, Samuel Boone and The OG Dirty Heel, Xander Slate. Can this rag-tag team of rejects get the job done and take Schmidty down a peg or two; or will the self-proclaimed "Greatest Professional Wrestler on the Planet Today" see his plans come to fruition yet again?
The seemingly unstoppable duo of Zack Cage and Nick Blake enter Cause & Effect tonight undefeated, and look to exit as the brand new CMV World Tag Team champions, as they challenge one of the most dominant tag teams in recent memory here in CMV in an elimination bout, Eric Thunder and Matt Jefferson, Extreme Conditions!
The heated rivalry between Bill Maverick and Josh Wolf reaches it's apex here tonight, when the two foes clash in a No Holds Barred match!
Our co-main event of the evening is an odd one no doubt, as we see our Fusion Tag Team champions, Chris Andrews and Paul Divine, lead separate teams into battle against one another. The Bloody Brit and The Asian Sensation's history is a long one, but now they're intertwined in a battle over the CMV Undisputed championship that Divine currently holds. Andrews will be getting his one on one shot at the belt in the near future, but tonight he shackles up with the bickering duo of Suraci and Tyson Cage, who although they despise each other, are undefeated as a team, to take on Paul and his boys of The New Gods, Frost and Crimson!
Our main event here tonight at the second annual Cause & Effect, will feature whichever man survives the Deadly Games tournament from earlier on in the show, getting his crack at Bob Luger and his CMV Alpha World championship. Neither Luger nor his challenger will be at one-hundred percent, but you can bet that they'll leave it all in that ring to walk out as the face that runs the place on Friday night Genesis!
