The year is now 2019 in CMV, with Home Coming behind us we now begin the road to the fifth annual Ascendance, just twelve weeks away! It'll all kickoff in only two week's time at Absolution with the return of the Royal Rumble match, thirty men competing for the chance to headline the grandest stage of them all. But tonight, an action packed card will get underway with the very first bout of the new year, seeing the reigning Fusion Tag Team champions, Desolation, take on the dashing duo of Mike Crimson and Sebastian Frost, The New Gods!

Tyson Cage shocked many in the CMV universe with his win over Suraci last night at Home Coming, and perhaps he may do so again here tonight, when he goes head to head with the Perfect Specimen, the undefeated, Travis King, in this Cyborg Invitational match-up!

The bad blood has been brewing between these two rivals for weeks now, as we'll finally get to see The Assassin, Harvey Hastings, go one on one with the proprietor of The Bloody Forest, Bloody Justice!

Submissions are the name of the game in this grudge match, with what started over an arm-wrestling challenge gone awry, the personal wrecking ball of The Unholy Alliance, Gluttony, does battle with The King of Kip-up himself, Jimmaurie Williams!

Though their debut didn't exactly go to plan last week, losing rather quickly to Fatal Decision, Ares and Hades Cryst of The Old Gods are looking to rebound here tonight, when they go up against the former champions and CMV veterans, Angelico and Diablo, Heaven or Hell!

While his tag team partner, Azreal, vies for an Undisputed title opportunity up next in our main event, one-half of the former Fusion Tag Team champions, Sean Kent, has himself quite the chance as well, when he goes toe to toe with the brand spanking new holder of the World championship, the superstar of the year, The Bloody Brit, Chris Andrews!

In our main event of the evening, as a preview of what's to come in just two week's time at Absolution, general manager, Johnny Sampson, is giving these ten Fusion superstars the chance to earn an Undisputed championship match at said event, when they compete in this mini version of the Royal Rumble match!
