NXT Ep. 73 Card

Two men, from different time periods in NXT, both, stuck in the lowercard. Colin Styles, the king of the opener before he was called up to the main roster for a brief stint, will go one on one, with the new king of the opener, Luke Brinton, who will come out above everyone else, the true King.... Of the opener.

The current number one contender for the NXT Television Championship, will take on a former NXT Television Champion in the form of Richard Thunder tonight, with only two weeks to go until Skylark has his title shot, this could be a huge indication on whether or not he can get the job done against Seoul.

All four of these men have something in common, they are yet to win a Championship on NXT, Aaron Waite is the only one of the four who has had a Championship reign in CMV, as he is a former two time tag team Champion on the Main Roster. Everyone with the exception of Zack Starr has had a Title shot on NXT, none of them succesful, however tonight. The winner of this fourway will have a number one contenders match, against an unnamed opponent on the go home show before Redemption Road and the winner will become the number one contender for Novaks European Title.

The punishment continues tonight, as Kane puts his former stablemate and hand picked future of NXT in an Extreme Rules Match with the almighty Marko Punish, who has finally picked up momentum as of late, when he beat Hayden at iMPLOSION. He'll need to continue maintaining momentum however as he has another match with Hayden on the horizon. Jaymes Landon Vain on the other hand needs every little bit of momentum he can find if he wants to get Redemption for his loss to Nathan Willis when they have their rematch at Redemption Road.

In last weeks Main Event, Adams came so close to pinning DSD in singles action, but he couldn't get the job done, so tonight, in the co-Main Event, his partner, Byron Elliot will have the chance to get one over the Gate City God as we head towards Redemption Road.

Some would say Kane is being kind, giving Adams one more chance to earn back his NXT Championship before the end of season one, however, the winner of this match, will go on to face Brock Lesnar, at Redemption Road for the vacant NXT Championship. So in a sense, it's not really a gift to Adams, but more a punishment, who will lock horns with the beast incarnate in two weeks time, Dallas Space or Chris Adams.
