The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same
After one of the most entertaining Ascendances in CMV history and after one of the most exciting CMV Drafts, Genesis is all but ready for their fall out show to begin. After Mr. Dashing welcomes everyone and the crowd simmers, the lights to the arena go dark.
On the titantron appears a red and black reticle with the initial T and L in the dead center as from gorilla comes the young Tim LaFave. Angry now as he was before Ascendance. Making his way down the ramp with a microphone in his hand he climbs the steep steps and looks to the sea of Ascendance left overs. Maybe missing when he appreciated the fans. Refocusing, LaFave turns and walks along the apron, wipes his feet and steps into the ring. As he beelines to the center of the canvas, the fans quiet themselves so the FORMER good guy Timmy Boy can speak.
Tim LaFave
At Ascendance, I said I would defeat Luger and I did. I found what I had been longing for. Revenge. Now Luger, through all his words and threats is back on UnMatched. Probably losing.
The crowd jeers at the mere mention of Bob Luger.
Tim LaFave
The list continues though. This wasn't the end. Not yet. Xander Slate and Randy Borton will pay for wronging me. I don't care whose first, I'll take them both on tonight at the same time. They seem to like to play with the odds in the favor anyway. Borton says he's hurt. He's not hurt, he's afraid. The moment Slate and Randall saw Luger fall before me, they knew this wasn't the same Tim. Whether they come out now; or I seek them out myself, their will be retribution. So you have one chance, Slate... Borton...
Tim turns to face the ramp and stage, microphone still pursed against his lips.
Tim LaFave
Come out now, or I'll come back there and do what you always do to me. I'm going to count to 5.
The crowd cheers loudly.
Tim LaFave
One...
Two...
At the two count, the titantron still shows the Genesis logo and no music has popped over the speakers.
Three...
Tim pauses to give an opportunity, the thing that put Tim where he has been so many times before. On his back.
Four...
Suddenly the lights go black again. But everyone INCLUDING LaFave are surprised.
The crowd reigns from the heavens a chorus of deafening boos that knock a jug of moonshine from the table of Rex Carter's Kitchen/Dining Room/Living Room/Bed Room table in his home 300 some-odd miles away.
???
My son, my son, my son-my son.
From Gorilla comes an older copy of LaFave. His father, Patrick. Whom no one has seen since Ascendance V, almost a year ago.
Patrick LaFave
I like this new look. Reflects proper what I wish you became.
LaFave, with the microphone away from his mouth, lets out a slew of inaudible obscenities.
Patrick LaFave
but rest assured, I'm not here for you tonight. Something bigger has come up. This company looks like it's in bad shape. And really could use some ... New Management...
The crowd's smarter side let's out some mixed cheers at the thought of Cass LaFave being replaced.
Patrick LaFave
This companies biggest mistake was hiring that hag. I knew she couldn't do it, hell, when she was raising you idiots, I knew she couldn't even do that right.
Without hesitation or error. LaFave slips from inside the ring under the bottom rope and has gone into a full sprint up the ramp. However, security pours from the ramps sides and gathers around Tim.
Like wise, from gorilla, two burly security guards and Genesis superstars join to take Pat from the scene.
Cass LaFave
You were always such a nice guy, Pat.
Following behind the security detail and superstars, comes the General Manager of Genesis. Who is met with a cascade of boos from the crowd.
She waves her hands to let them know she hears but does not care.
Cass LaFave
Pat, I don't know what you're doing here. Or why your here. But it doesn't matter. I'll be here for some time. Nothing you, they or the superstars backstage can say, will change that. Get him out of here.
Cassy motions to the superstars and security as they push Patrick LaFave towards the arena garage entrance.
Meanwhile LaFave, still struggling with the mass of security is released once Pat is safely away.
Cass LaFave
Tim, I know you want to find Xander and Borton but that's not going to happen. Until your match with Chris, please stay in your locker room.
She looks at the security.
Cass LaFave
And make she he stays there until the Main Event, thank you.
The security begin escorting Tim passed his mother and back into gorilla. As the scene closes with a smug Cassandra LaFave.
