Are we what you see? Nick Blake Isn't

At the beginning of the Fusion #54, the crowd at it's most ready point. A loud music hits the PA system and as soon as it's tune is recognized, the crowd erupts into a thunderous chorus of boos.

From the ramp comes Nick Blake with a slow and methodical pace. In his right-hand a microphone in his left the golden Money in the Case Briefcase he won a week ago. As he makes his way to the ring, Blake seems more ignorant to the hate of the CMV Universe than usual. Ignoring them completely. He slides the briefcase under the bottom rope and rolls under himself. Picking up the briefcase as the music ends.

The crowd shouts loudly, obscenities, hate and disrespect to the fifth winner of the Money in the Bank contract. He paces the ring in wide circle and comes to stop in front of the hard camera. He looks out of the corner of his eye, almost paranoid, and then back to the camera.

Nick Blake
My name... Is Nick Blake.

The crowd, so intense in their jeers miss Blake saying "my" something Blake has never done.

Nick Blake
I said ... my name is Nick Blake!

The crowd's intensity lightens up as they begin to notice a change in the usual Nick Blake personality.

Nick Blake
My name is Nick Blake! I've been here for sometime. Making mockery of who I am and what I stand for... Initially I came in as a joke, a formidable joke, but a joke none the less. Yeah, I won the Television Title twice during my stint in UnMatched... Some stuff happened and I was put on the shelf for awhile... I came back at Absolution at the top of this year, didn't do so hot. But now...

Nick lifts the Money in the Bank briefcase high above his head.

Now. I have this. And everything seems a little different. Even me.

The crowd quiets themselves down just a bit, noticing that Nick has somehow changed.

Nick Blake
There's a time, in every mans life, when he has to change. Bring out who really is. We all play characters here in the industry. Tim's a babyface, but is he really? Ziegler's an asshole, but is he really? Duo's a monster? But is really? Azreal's an enigma, but is really? Eligah's a torn soul, but is he really? No. Nothing you see here is what's real. So let me ask you sods something. Nick Blake is a retard that speaks in third person. But is he really?

The crowd cheers loudly "Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" When Nick lets the crowd tire themselves out before continuing.

The answer to that, my fine-foolish friends, is an emphatic "No." No more pretending I'm a stupid fool. I was not hit with a wrench by my father. I'm not an idiot, I'm not a joke, but what I am,,, is Mr. Money in the Bank and your future Undisputed Champion!

Blake extends his hand, holding the microphone parallel to the canvas and drops it. The confused audience is mixed with a collage of cheers and jeers. Regardless, Nick made his statement and leaves the ring as his music plays.
