Do you think that Rhys Matthews proved himself worthy of holding the Undisputed title at Emergence; or are you still skeptical?
CMV Fusion Card #81 (Ep. 318)
Monday night Fusion: Episode 81!
LIVE from the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico!!!
Home Coming card thus far! (Subject to change.)
-Sean Silva vs. Bob Luger (c) for the CMV Alpha World championship!
-Zack Cage & Nick Blake (c) vs. Extreme Conditions for the CMV World Tag Team championship!
-Kaiva (c) vs. Pierre Thompson for the CMV International championship!
-Bryce Hurt (c) vs. El Jefe for the CMV Light Heavyweight championship!
-Jay Davis vs. Elijah Stewart!
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
With Emergence now behind us and with only two weeks left in the year of 2018, it's overtime for many of the CMV superstars, their final chance to prove themselves as top contenders for championship gold before we kick off the road to Ascendance 5 next month. To start the show here tonight, we've got ourselves a first time encounter between two CMV veterans in the newly solo, Shanaz Andoni, and the former CMV Undisputed World champion who's hungry to get his title back, Paul Divine!
After giving it his all but failing to put down Schmidty and capture the CMV United States championship last night at Emergence, Xander Slate, refused to let that be the end of their bitter rivalry, opting to interrupt his foe and Bryce Hurt during their championship celebration at the top of the show. But the OG Dirty Heel didn't have to speak a single word, as Schmidty did all of the talking for him and subsequently backed himself into a corner, telling Slate that if he can defeat Hurt here tonight, he'll give him another crack at the title, just what The Show wanted.
Up next, six-man tag team action takes to the ring, as three of the minor feuds here on Fusion collide in an attempt to feed some fuel to the fire!
Making his official CMV debut here tonight, is one, Arthur Rose, a- well, unique new persona here on Fusion to say the least. But he's obviously impressed general manager, Johnny Sampson, enough to get him a match on the flagship show and with the brand new CMV Anarchy champion, Crowe, no less! Will the youngblood make a statement on his first night in the company; or will he be STUNG!?
Although he is the rightful number one contender to the CMV Undisputed World championship, and will get his crack at the belt come what may at Home Coming, he is also still the solo holder of the CMV Fusion Tag Team titles after clutching up against Fatal Decision at Emergence. As they say, there's no rest for the wicked, and The Bloody Brit is a wicked one indeed, just twenty-four hours after barely being able to survive Sean Kent and Azreal, he now must put his belts on the line against the mountainous men, former Anarchy champion Bludgeon and Trauma, Desolation!
In this Cyborg Invitational match-up, we'll see Jaquan Shay, who's currently sat at 1-1 on the brackets, take on Andrew Briggs, who's looking to even out his record of 1-2.
Our main event will feature one hell of a collision, as the future of this brand is showcased, the undefeated, Perfect Specimen, Travis King, locks horns with the CMV Undisputed World champion, Rhys Matthews. With King taking the lead in the Invitational last night at Emergence by putting down Suraci, he is now just a few wins away from winning the whole damn thing and getting his crack at the belt. But this Matthews that we've seen the past month has been on a whole other level, retaining against his former New Gods brother, Mike Crimson, last night, he now has his eyes set on Home Coming, where we know Chris Andrews is waiting for him, but his mentor, the man he captured the title from, Paul Divine, lurks in the shadows too . . . He'd be wise not to underestimate Travis however, less he become another victim to The Machine.
