The sound of clapping echoes in the cavernous hallway as the image of Zack Cage and Nick Blake comes into focus. Turner's door swings wide open, his annoyed face not so welcoming to his uninvited guests.

Couldn't you have knocked?

Zack Cage
We could have, but then that would just make us like everyone else around here. We're a cut above the rest, and we won these tag team championships by doing things our way. When they zig, we zag; when they go left, we go right; when they knock, we clap.

Turner waits a beat before responding, expecting Blake to chime in like he usually does, but Blake merely nods in agreement.

What's his deal?

Zack Cage
Nick? Well, it's a funny story: we made a bet on whose team would end up becoming number one contender for these bad boys, and though it took a week longer than expected, especially after that referee threw me out for no reason, Chaos and Order did me proud, and now poor Nick here can't say a word until after Ascendance. Or else.

Dave Turner
...or else what?

Zack Cage
That's not for you to worry about. What we need for you is to do us a solid. See, we were thinking that this is the biggest show of the years. A night where boys become men and stars become legends. Ascendance is where we solidify our places as the best duo to ever come together. People are crying out for flesh blood, new faces but if there was a team good enough to beat us, don't you think it would have happened already?

Sure, but what exactly is this favor?

Zack Cage
When we beat Chaos and Order, we don't want it to be in just any plain ol' match; we want elimination tag...our specialty.

Zack Cage

Turner's immediately response is a chuckle.

Dave Turner
Is there anything else I can help you upstanding gentlemen with today?

I knew you'd be reasonable about this. As a matter of fact, there's just something about a general manager making a smart decision that truly calls for a round of applause.

Cage and Blake raise their arms to chest level and...

Rise make their way out to the ring, but by the time they get down the ramp, Nick Blake and Zack Cage’s music cuts off whatever they were trying to do in the early portion of Genesis. For a moment it looks like they’re about to return the favor from a few weeks ago, but instead Cage pull a microphone out of his pocket.

The audience joins Nick Blake in sarcastically clapping, an action so simple, but thousands of people being in such sync is truly a sight, and sound, to be in awe of.

How about a sneak peak?

Without warning, a portal opens up behind Rise, who are all still standing at the foot of the ramp. Kurasuke slips out, puts Nikola in a sleeper and pulls him through the portal before any of the other members of the stable can stop him.

Cage and Blake, along with the audience, are all clapping at the spectacle while all Rise can do is argue amongst themselves about what the hell they’ll do about this going forward.

Cage and Blake stand at ringside and look down at Knox with pity as if they did much to help him during the match. With their tag team championship belts draped over their shoulders,
their hands are free for them to raise into the air and:

Midway through Genesis, Zack Cage and Nick Blake are sitting in silence in the locker room. Blake looks at his phone as his Lyft notification comes in. He and Cage fist bump, and Blake wishes his former tag team partner good luck in his match against Chris Andrews. Before he walks off, Kurasuke steps through a portal and gets right into Blake's face.

As he celebrates his hard-fought victory, Cage wipes blood off of his forehead with the back of his hand, then does a title belt motion around his waist making his future intentions clear.

He looks toward the outside of the ring where the referee is tending to an also bloodied Andrews. Cage shakes his head, raises his arms, then:
