A New Age

As Monday Night Fusion continues, the PA System comes on as Jaquan Shay walks out, looking about as serious as he’s ever looked in his career. He holds his title on his shoulder, looking around the arena. He get’s in the ring, bringing a chair with him as he sets it up and sits in the chair, with the title in front of him, laying on the ring mat.

So I’m gonna tell Y’all a little story. About a boy named David. David was a shepherd boy who lived in Israel. He took care of sheep. God chose David to take care of the Jewish people. David played the harp. When the king of Israel was tired of fighting in the war, he asked David to play for him. David’s music made him feel better. But one day, a terrible giant named Goliath started bragging to his soldiers that none of the Jews would dare to fight him. And he was right. The Jewish soldiers were all afraid of Goliath. Then little David said: “I’ll fight Goliath!” And he went and got some stones for his slingshot.The giant just laughed at him. David put a stone in his sling and flung it. The stone hit big Goliath on the head. David then killed him with his sword. All of Goliath’s friends ran away. The little shepherd boy had saved the Jewish people.

The crowd clap on Jaquan, as Jaquan just looks around the arena, shaking his head.

You people expect me being Anarchy Champion, or a matter of fact a champion in general, to be easy. I lived with the thought of being shot or killed because of MY name. MY legacy in wrestling. Because where there’s a chance, there are always haters. And this world is full of them. I was a victim of race crimes among me and my siblings. MY FAMILY!! I am the reason they still have food on their plates. I’m the reason them and other young African-Americans have a chance at the big leagues of Professional Wrestling.

The crowd continues to clap on the Anarchy Champion, as Jaquan stands up, looking as stern as ever.

People tell me that I’m not fit to be the champion, or I don’t have the balls to be in the Anarchy Division. I am the Anarchy Division. Once I won this championship, this division became mine. And mine alone. So AJ, I just want to warn you; you may be the Goliath of Fusion, but easy come, easy go. I will strike you down in the middle of that goddamn ring and I will put MY NAME in the books as the David of this story!!

As Jaquan said that, the crowd cheered him on a little bit, but most of them were boos. He just stood there, looking empty, as he grabbed his title and walked out of the ring, up the ramp, and in the back, where the next matchup began.
