Eh they don't make a game, but they help
If you ask me to pick between two games
and they're pretty similar in quality but one has better graphics I'm going with that one.

I wouldn't put it in such harsh terms because there's something to be said about a truly beautiful looking game (witcher) especially now that 4k is becoming a thing, at least on console. But there are a lot ofsolid games I would have missed (state of decay/divinity) if I judged it only on graphics. Plus there are a lot games that ain't that good but look nice.

Looks aren’t everything to any kind of art. It’s what’s in the game or what you get out of it. If it were better to look at sure, it would be cooler. But graphics dont take much away from the game.
