Der Sieger

A few days after Retaliation, a video was uploaded to the front page of the CMV Website. It was simply titled "Der Sieger". The video began with a shot of Harvey Hastings, sitting alone in a small garage. Before him, resting flat on the table was the United States Championship. It looked neatly clean and polished, Harvey had cleaned it of 10|EL's scent, making sure to thoroughly clean the leather since 10 had laid that leather against himself whilst naked on multiple occasions.

Hastings blinked a few times and looked up at the camera, giving a cocky smirk as he took in a breath.

Hastings: A hundred years ago, in 1918... The great power that was Germany chose to surrender to the Allies in the great war... Twenty years later, it would start another war under the watch of a demon in sheep's clothing... Not even a few days after that war ended, Germany was cut in half, like some piece of pie. It would remain like that for almost 50 years.... As you can probably guess, Germany had been on the wrong side of history for almost a century. Until today.

Hastings raised the belt up, kissing the eagle within the center before setting it back down.

Hastings: Today, my homeland is finally on the right side... And I intend on keeping it that way for the rest of my lifetime. That way, when I look into the darkness of death, I can have comfort knowing that my home still had something to be proud of. 10|EL... I want to thank you for this... You gave me.... my people.... my fatherland.... Hope.... And I want to also thank you American fans of the CMV Universe... You all believe in me... Thought that I could strive for greatness. I clearly didn't disappoint.

Hastings sighed once more, slowly patting the center plate with a smirk on his face. However, it turned to a frown afterward. He looked back up, reaching into his pocket for something.

Hastings: Unfortunately, many of you are going to despise me for what I am about to do.... But I want you all to know, that this act I will commit is in good faith... I want this championship to be a symbol of unification for my people. So please, think before you judge me.

Hastings pulled out a screwdriver from the pocket. He looked down at the side plated and began to unscrew them. Each screw fell out and was placed on the side for later use, the loosened side plates would be moved over to the side until all four were taken off. Harvey reached into his other pocket, pulling out four new side plates, each one with the German flag embezzled on it. He slowly began to screw the side plates in, chuckling a bit as the screws fastened against the silver plating.

Hasting sighed softly, kissing the center plate's eagle once more.

Hastings: Now... The United States Championship will be a symbol of German strength... And it's up to me to defend Germany's honor from now on.

The video slowly faded to black as Hastings chuckled in a slightly mad way. The next day, a news story would pop up on the CMV website, giving a formal apology for Hasting's actions and disrespect to the American Flag side plates. However, the damage was done now.

Season 5 is on its way and controversy was already developing, which many already expected. Now all that was left was to wait patiently and see what would become of the United States Title scene.
