Actually not broken on my game. I've simmed many matches and had wrestlers survive a submission finisher (with finisher damage maxed) at least once if the wrestler in the hold has high enough submission resistance.

That said, yeah it's been crazy at times.You pretty much have to have a sub fin to have any prayer of winning a match in CMV.

I think the issue is that 2K has no clue how to properly balance them.

This season, I think it has to mostly due with stats and how Dashing set Fin Damage. Because really, the only two times where sub fins have been a massive issue was Knox's current US Title run and Xander basically being Kliqs crutch.

The place where Sub fins are extremely problematic is in tag matches. The AI no longer breaks Sub fins during Tag matches, which lead to Kliq/GB's massive reign of terror and Fenrir tapping last night even though Chris was only a few feet away.

I have no real complaints about Sub fins in singles anymore, because it seems we don't have it being such a huge reliance (most of our Caws now only pull it out as a last resort which makes sense). The real place where it seems to be a requirement is in tag team matches. GB's reign was literally only as long as it was because Dashing refused to give them a Tag fin, which meant all it took was Xander getting one sub in to effectively retain.

Tl;dr Sub fins are really only a problem in tag tbh

Vintage has been less a Tag team and more a Lesnar/Heyman dynamic tho. Bacon has played manager role since Jefe lost to Brit.
