Unhinged
Jason Spade beats Schmidty! He celebrates his victory and leaves to the back all while Schmidty begins to stir back to his feet. He looks around yet he sees nobody. His eyes see a void he has never been able to escape only now, it's bigger than ever and it's screaming his name. It echoes in his fucking head. Telling him he's failed. Telling him to protect his name. Telling him to burn all who refuse to respect him. It gets louder and louder to the point where even slapping his hands on his ears doesn't silence it. It's deafening and painful.
Over the past few months, signs of this madness have shined through the cracks but Jason Spade pinning his shoulders to the mat has acted as the final catalyst to the inevitable. He stumbles through the middle rope, onto the outside. The referee looks slightly concerned but due to Schmidty's dangerous past, he remains uninvolved. Schmidty suffers this pain, alone. He did this to himself. We see him walking up the ramp of a sold out arena, but in his eyes, he's walking towards utter darkness, without a soul insight to save him.
He's backstage, trying relentlessly to stop the noise. Even going as far as occasionally headbutting the walls. Everywhere he wanders, he leaves a path of destruction. Flipping tables and pushing people around. Suddenly, he feels his arms restrained. He yells out before gazing upon Kellin O’Neill. Beyond the darkness, and the voices boiling an inner rage like no other, he finally meets a set of eyes, even if it's just for a minute, he hears the words coming from his mouth.
Kellin O’Neill
Schmidty, I'm sorry but after seeing what you tried to do last week, I had no choice. These men here are going to take you somewhere to get you the help you need.
Then he's gone. It's just Schmidty again. Alone with his thoughts. The overwhelming urge to burn everything down around him becomes too powerful to fight off and he just screams. He fights to break free from the forces holding him still but to no avail. He feels a sudden strike to the side of his neck before finally, drifting off. Kellin watches as the men carry the now tranquilized Schmidty into the back of their van and take him away. There's no telling how long he will be away. Or if he can ever recover from this madness. But, one thing is for certain, there's only one place for the insane.
