Tim and his Pants
Tim was in his hotel room before the show in Alaska. He was folding his "Against All Odds" T-shirts and putting them in his suit case. The window to the hotel room was wide open as the cold air blew through the screen. However, being a man from northern New York he was no stranger to the cold.
Tim was in a moral dilemma. Maybe he was a fool for trusting everyone. Maybe he was a fool for believing their was good in everyone. Tim had forgotten what the professional wrestling business entailed and that was: To climb to the top no matter who stands in your way, friend or foe. Brother or sister. LaFave had blindly given trust and respect to everyone he met and it all backfired in the end. The only thing that had been getting him through the tours was his pure rage and frustration. His hatred.
Timothy stopped folding his clothes and put his hand on his forehead and closed his eyes tightly. Mentally exhausted. Was it time to take on a new persona, to change who he was, is and always has been? Tim opened his eyes and saw the next item of clothing to the side of his luggage bag... Not yet folded, laid out in on his bed, ironed and clean. A pair of denim Levi jeans. Timmy boy picked them up by the waist and held them up in front of him. He thought to himself dangerous thoughts. How much easier would it be to turn... Getting thoughtless revenge on all those who had wronged. Yes revenge was indeed sweet and plenty of men in CMV deserved. LaFave grinned devilishly for a moment.
But then, like the days change from evening to night. A switch was hit. He no longer felt whatever he felt. All the rage and anger washed away in an instant as he remembered how far he had come without resorting to unbecoming tactics of a noble man. He thought: Despite the enemies that hurt him, he had great friends still; Paul Divine, Kevin Lee; his comrades in the Rebellion. There was more good in being a good man than there would be from doing wrong. And without a second thought, Tim threw the jeans in a waste bin behind him. Kevin Lee walked into the hotel room with an ice pop in his hand, looking confused as he caught LaFave tossing a snazzy pear of jeans in the garbage.
KEVIN LEE
Aw man, I loved those jeans.
TIM
I think I'm going to start wearing shorts when we're not working...
Tim smiled at Lee and turned back to folding the remainder of his wardrobe as the cold Alaskan air blew through the window and somewhere a Wheelchair was being used by someone who needed it.
