Shortly after Dave Turner opened up the show with a massive Purgatory announcement, he is seen backstage, talking on the phone.

Dave Turner
Rex, what do you mean your locked out? Are you at the right arena? What? CyberSlam was months ago. I...

Dave turns to see Light Heavyweight Champion, Bryce Hurt with Tito by his side.

Dave Turner
Rex, just take the night off. And....don't drive. I gotta go. Bye.

He hangs up the phone and folds his arms awaiting for what Bryce has to say. Bryce of course not looking very happy.

Bryce Hurt
Why.....in the hell......was I NOT in the Royal Rumble match Sunday???

Dave opens his mouth but he's cut off.

Bryce Hurt
I did what I was supposed to do. I beat El Jefe, and I earned a spot in the Royal Rumble match. Why wasn't I in it? I could be main eventing Ascendance. But YOU took that away from me! WHY??

Dave Turner
You want to know why you didn't have a spot in the rumble?

Bryce Hurt
Uh yeah, I sort of just asked.

Dave Turner
Because, I have a son Bryce. He looks up to me. And I love him with all my heart. If you tried that stunt you pulled with El Jefe Jr. on MY son, you wouldn't be here. Hell, you'd be in jail with a broken nose and a toothless mouth. You don't deserve anything for hitting a kid in the face. You may of beaten El Jefe last week, but the disrespect put behind it, it can't be tolerated. Not on this show.

Bryce Hurt
That's bullshit. I don't care if I hit a kid. I don't care if I disrespected anybody. I am the Light Heavyweight Champion. NO. Let me rephrase that. I am the BEST Light Heavyweight Champion in history. I am good. You know this. You're just once again trying to have some hold on me. Trying to hold me back from my full potential. I want Paul Divine next week for his spot at Ascendance. Make it happen.

No I got a better idea. Because you see, like you did a few months ago, El Jefe came to me. He wanted one more shot at your belt. And seeing as how he and his son have been victims of your disrespectful attitude and actions as of late, I granted him his request. Next week, it'll be El Jefe vs Bryce Hurt for the Light Heavyweight Championship. FEAST or FIRED for El Jefe.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? HOW MANY TIMES DO I GOTTA BEAT THAT LOSER FOR YOU TO REALIZE THAT I'M BETTER THAN THIS??

Bryce, if you're so good, then you have no issue here. You will go out to that ring next week, and you'll end El Jefe's career. It's that simple. But, I can ensure you, after everything you've done, El Jefe isn't just doing this for himself anymore. You punched his son. His son watched his father tap out in front of him. That makes him desperate. That makes him dangerous. And I gotta say, i'm rooting against you. And so are they.

And with that, Dave pats Bryce on the shoulder and walks off leaving him to have a fit in the hall.

Later on in the show and we see El Jefe talking to Super Gato, the two light heavyweights that will team up later tonight to take on Bryce Hurt and Tito…. They shake hands and Gato walks away, El Jefe continues warming up for his match as Mac Thompson approaches…

Mac : El Jefe may I get a few words please…

EJ : Sure thing amigo.

Mac : I see you’ve had talks with your tag team partner for tonight, have you been strategizing?

EJ : You could say that, we have a big match tonight, and once again I get my hands on that low life piece of scum that is Bryce Hurt. I heard what he had to say and I’m sick of tired of this guy, I don’t care anymore, I just want my hands on that puto essa, he did the unthinkable and he will pay for his actions one way or another, you hear me essay.

Mac : El Jefe you must be going through a lot of emotions as of late, with Bryce knocking out your son EL Jefe Jr. Then having to tap out right in front of your son as well. That Must have been hard.

EJ : Not gonna lie essa, my emotions are running wild, the anger I have for Bryce cost me the match last week and yes I was disappointed that I had to tap out as my son watched on. So Sorry son, I know you’re home recovering and I’m sorry I let you down, but I promise you, I will avenge what Bryce has done to me and my familiar.

Mac : Well this feud has been building up for weeks and months now… You’ve beaten him numerous times, but lately it’s Bryce who now seems to have your number… Will you be able to control your emotions and defeat Bryce next week on Genesis in the Feast or Fired match, because if you don’t, you’ll be gone from CMV.

EJ : Life is full of risks, that’s what I do, I’m a high-flier inside that squared circle, everything I do is high risk….Next week is no exception, not only is my offence high risk, but the choices I HAVE to make are too, when I’m pushed and pushed into a corner, then the only option is to fight back and that’s what I will do next week against Bryce. Whether I can control my emotions or not, well only time will tell, whatever happens, happens… But I’m not planning on giving up, I’m not planning on leaving…..I plan on HURTING Bryce where it HURTS the most and that’s once again defeating him for the Light Heavyweight Championship, ARRIBBAAAAA!!!!
