The bell tolled.

Ding.

Paul Divine knew exactly how to stop Devious from kicking out. All he had to do was go to a dark place within his mind.

Number One Contender.

Blood coating his face.

Just another month for the Asian Sensation, right? It had been so long since he reached back to the top of CMV... Granted, on another show.

But there was no reason to contemplate time now. Divine had a moment of respite to celebrate.

...

But we knew that moment would not last long.

The crowd stood as Josh Wolf slowly stepped out from the back. Still covered in war markings. Still holding that beautiful gold belt. He took in a breath as he walked down the ramp, unbuckling the belt and draping it over his shoulder.

He stopped at the cage. The Chamber. The door was still locked, but the refs quickly reopened it for Wolf to enter.

Step by step, Wolf walked into the Chamber, staring at Divine with a deadpan expression.

Paul just gave a smirk, cracking his fists.

Wolf

Well, Paul, Congratulations.

Last year, my rookie year, I was in this same chamber. I fought for a chance to go to Ascendance and win this belt.

I was the first man out.

Flash forward one year and look where we are. You and I are at the top of CMV, where we belong. However, I want to tell you one thing before the cameras cut off.

Josh raised his title and sighed.

Wolf

You're in a whole different ballgame, Paul. Fusion is behind you.

Welcome to Genesis.

Try and keep up. Because I have been dreaming of this moment for a long time.

Wolf took a step back, wrapping the title around his waist. He stepped out of the chamber and pointed at Paul.

Next Season was going to be another roller coaster... For everyone.
