Paul Divine Chooses
As Crossfire begins, we are greeted by Kellin O'Neil himself! He stands on the stage in his high dollar, shamrock suit as he awaits for the excitement from the fans to die down before he can properly greet them.
Kellin O'Neil
First off, welcome to CMV Crossfire, it's always a pleasure to see a sold out crowd. But, sadly I have to start things off with some bad news. As you all know, Paul Divine won the Elimination Chamber match on Sunday, thus getting an opportunity to challenge for a world title this month. However, Monday Night, he was on a jog and got involved in a hit and run accident. There's no news on how long he'll be out but it's not looking like he'll be able to challenge for a title this month. But, he will make a full recovery in no time. That much is guaranteed.
The fans begin to boo at the unfortunate news they're hearing.
Kellin O'Neil
None the less, we still need to hand out that opportunity that I promised so, the title shot will be given to the superstar who made the final pin on Supremacy in the Elimination Chamber to solidify Crossfire's victory. That opportunity will now be given to The Game Changer, Schmidty!
The instant his name is mentioned, the entirety of the crowd erupt in a chorus of boos that challenges the tune to his entrance. The man of the hour steps out onto the stage. Kellin turns to him and proceeds to shake his hand before sharing a small grin with the Game Changer before exiting to the back. Schmidty then proceeds to make his way down the ramp and into the ring, all while ignoring the heat being spouted out by the fans.
Schmidty
I just want to start out by saying, that's a tragedy what happened to Paul. I know we're enemies but I would never wish that kind of pain upon him. To be hit by a car in the dead of night, especially in our line of work, is just plain awful. I truly hope they find the sadistic bastard who hit you so justice can be served. But, with Paul out, I have been handed the opportunity to choose a world champion to challenge. And honestly, I hate that I have to take this from Paul after the showing he put on Sunday. But, the show must go on so I will move forward with this, and dedicate my match to Paul Divine. Hoping for a speedy recovery buddy!
Schmidty's look of sincerity can't fool anybody. The game he's playing is fishy but nobody has the power to call him on it at this point. Things once again somehow worked out in his favor.
Schmidty
I'm not going to beat around the bush.
All of a sudden, his demeanor changed.
Schmidty
Ace Reeves, I know the kind of champion you are. You're one who shows up, fights, and goes home. You don't show off. You don't do endoarsements. And you don't properly represent. You don't deserve to be champion because you're not champion material. Hell, you've NEVER even cut a promo. To be a champion, you need a voice. A purpose. A message for the fans. Every single week you need to explain why you're the champion. And before you hop on your twitter account and tweet about how you "explain why you're champion through your actions in the ring", I don't give a damn about that. I can't take a man seriously behind a phone screen. I need to hear it. Face to face. And you have plenty of time to explain to me what kind of champion you are, because we have four weeks until we face off. That's right. In case you were too busy puffing up your man bunn, I choose YOU!
Step into that ring with a REAL challenger. Your competition before me was a bunch of trash ass competitors who don't belong in this ring. You're just a one off champion who's getting lucky breaks far too often. You are what I call, a FLUKE. And I expose flukes for a living. Yeah, I'll take that Global Championship off of you. And when I do, just like all the other flukes, you'll dip out and never be heard from again. You won't have the strength to stay after realizing you never stood a chance against me. Just like Chris Proudfoot, you'll be out the damn door and be forever looked at as an after thought! While I stand here as the champion this company so DESPERATELY deserves!
This new wage, disgusts me. All of you NGW stars trying to take over as the top guys around here. A company I bled for long before you were on anybody's radar. I created the radar. Ever since I got here, this place changed. And the one year I was gone, it all went to hell. That's another mess I gotta clean up. And the perfect way to do that is to take one of these self proclaimed golden boys and put him in his place for all to see. Ace, you'll lose that title, but you'll gain much more. For once you'll have a purpose, one that you don't even have to explain. I'll do it for you. Your purpose will be the symbol of the old world rising up out of the ashes. I'll use you to restore this company to what it once was. I will make it worth watching again. I will make this the company to be by being the champion to beat! You'll see. From the sidelines, but you'll indeed see.
And with that, he drops the microphone and leaves the ring for the crowd to contemplate what just happened.
