Lucy Collins' CMV UnMatched Overview
FYI: The opinions expressed here are in character and do not all reflect the opinions of L[REDACTED], also known as Ted, also known as The. Some do though. But this is all in good fun don’t take it seriously I don’t hate y’all.
Fortune was a good show I guess. Being there was a bit of a letdown tho especially when not all my predictions came true I mean is it even a good show if they don’t do EVERYTHING I wanted? But you all liked that post before it so this is a tradition now.
One of many on this site.
I’m sure a lot of you are longtime readers.

Okay so UnMatched is touted as “The Final Show Before The Road To Ascendance!” which is sooo great when we don’t know where the hell that’ll be yet. I’m excited tho aren’t we all? CMV’s been doing so well they even brought Justin Sane out of hiding.
And I totally was watching back when he was around since I’m an OG fan and didn’t find out about CMV last year when Ashley Rayne had the title or anything
Without further ado, let’s spoil all the results!
Chloe Marx vs. The Killjoy Club - Handicap Match
Chloe went backstage during Fortune and talked shit about Ellie to try and get Taylor and Stevie on her side but she’s really just been getting beaten up for it. Love it.
This storyline, as fast as it’s been, has been pretty enjoyable as both Marx and Quinn are good talkers. This match though? Eh. I don’t love handicap matches and it’s basically just a feud extender before their (probably really good) one on one at like Absolution or something.
Can we PLEASE let TKC win here though? I said it before Fortune, they desperately need some legitimacy and Chloe’s win streak will not be harmed by, let me be very clear, losing a 3v1.
Jay Young vs. Mystery Mask IV
Fortune didn’t feel like a SPECTACLE but they had a lot of specialty matches, which isn’t the case for this show. We are going to see the end of a bunch of festering storylines from Shockwave though, and this one has been a great opener for a lot of the TV shows.
Jay and MM4 had a brief alliance which obviously ended when Jay Young stabbed the dude on the back because it’s Jay Young did you expect anything else from him. Judging from that Higher Authority Invitational, creative are still very high on Jay Young so I see him picking up the win here, giving the new guy some experience before moving on to bigger things.
Brett Angel vs. Leon Garra
This storyline has been a joy to watch along anywhere but on TV so I saw some people kinda confused about this match but what’s to be confused about? Spooky girl and her cronies really really hate this former comedy cat and really really really want him gone
I think that for the story to advance, Brett is going to get the win here. He already had a great showing at that gauntlet and it’s just been fun to see him back.
Xander Slate vs. John Lipnick - No Holds Barred
So let’s get things straight here.
John Lipnick is (not) a former cult leader who has embraced being nice and is now in the forefront of the fight against The Higher Authority. He also has a briefcase for a title shot at anytime he wants.
Xander Slate was almost killed by The Ted, came back, turned heel, was almost killed by Jason Spade after Spade Set Fire To The Casket Slate Was In, came back a week later but couldn’t get revenge on Spade because he’s (understandably) in prison. So he struck a deal with Pat LaFave (leader of THA) to hunt down John Lipnick (remember him? he doesn’t like The Higher Authority) and in exchange he’ll get Spade out of prison.
And people complain about wrestling being cartoonish?
Lipnick is winning #TrustHim #RenasncaencasSweep
Rafael Hernandez (interim) vs. Anthony Martin (c) - Intercontinental Championship Unification
I was really excited about this match, although now it is kind of brought down by the main event and just the pure spectacle that Martin working twice will be. Rafael’s been on a hot streak since his very first match and to really make The Higher Authority legit he should take this one home. Especially since they’re having him be bigger than the stable right now? Beating up Pat for some reason, winning literally everything. I think he hasn’t lost a 1v1. Rafael probably attacks Martin after the match to add insult to injury and weaken our hero before the main event.
Beatriz Lótus vs. Amber Reed (c) - Women’s World Championship
I said it all in the Fortune post but I really like this power struggle within the women’s division right now involving Amber Reed but also spiraling into Chloe vs. Ellie, the previous Ellie vs. Lótus feud and even the Cyborg Invitational with RVW trying to get into form again. Anyways,
History Maker in 4 omg she’s so good she’s winning.

Are the stans gone?
Because, like…
Lótus is winning this, right?
Like think about it. You have the young star beat Ellie Quinn and Ashley Rayne and then team with the veteran babyface to beat a heel team. Not just that, you also give Taryn Torres a big moment by putting her over Amber Reed and having an excuse for Reed to lose since she “isn’t in form right now”. I said it before Fortune, I wanted Ellie to win that match but if Lótus got the win that meant they were all in on her. And this is it. I think it’s the way to go if you have this match in place, with how the story’s been built and everything.
Killian Khan vs. Chris Andrews
The clusterfuck of a show that was the Tag Team Cup culminated in the return of Shay Hoxton and the end of the Allied Powers. With the president’s powers, Killian Redd has become a Mortal Kombat villain or something?? I think I’m too old for this.
But I enjoyed his debut on Shockwave and I think for the sake of establishing this big scary guy, Killian Khan will win before we get a stipulation rematch. Maybe at Ascendance?? Who knows.
Anthony Martin vs. Styles B. Godly (c) - Undisputed Championship
The unbeatable (kinda) Styles B. Godly emerges once again to defend that title against someone who, with all due respect, I never would’ve expected to be in this position. After the massive Higher Authority Invitational, Anthony Martin punched his ticket to UnMatched.
Look, they had the guy win a big ass gauntlet. That says a lot. A lot that I will not forget about as I get ready to say who’s gonna win.
I know you’re looking at me crazy. I’m doing that too. In fact if I had said this a month ago, nah, a WEEK ago I would’ve been really confused.
Anthony Martin is beating Styles B. Godly for the Undisputed Championship this (Wednesday) at UnMatched.
“Two shock world title changes in the same show what the fuck” YEAH I KNOW but I’m calling it so don’t complain when it happens, smile because Lucy Collins said it.
AND THAT’S WHEN JOHN LIPNICK CASHES IN nah I’m joking. Unless…
You know the drill, I won’t be at the venue but I will be accompanying the show on TWITTER (yes, that’s the name) so check in at @LucyWantsGDNBack
See ya
