I had a Hauppauge for awhile and it captured in 1080p. It also allowed you to stream. On my channel my Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance playthroughs were all captured on it.

But since then I've heard the Elgato is the way to go.

Hauppauge - The One I had 163USD

and the Elgato.

You should have a decent computer though, piddly laptops won't be able to handle the file sizes you get when capturing raw footage. That's how my computer Charlie 1 went.
