Dark Carnival was no doubt an exciting night in CMV, from the debuts of Suraci and D'Angelo Prince who brought the house down in the opening match-up, to Randy Borton's impressive showing inside of the Elimination Chamber but his ultimate failure to retain the International championship as Kaiva was crowned the new title holder. In our first championship bout of the evening, El Jefe, would rise above the rest in a hectic fatal-4-way match to earn himself the CMV Light Heavyweight title after pinning King Matt. His celebration was halted before it could kickoff however, as the former champion, Nikola Ivanovic, would size-up The Human Fish, staring at the title that was just moments before his, El Jefe taunting him by holding the gold up into the air. Later on in the night Nikola would tweet out a challenge to the ARRRIIIBBBAAA Man and announce that he was cashing-in his contractual rematch clause for Regicide in just two week's time.

The wrestling business is a dirty one, any veteran of the squared-circle would tell you that much. Your fellow superstars can be trusted just about as far as you can throw them, and Chris Andrews found that out the hard way at Dark Carnival. The majority of the CMV universe, myself included, were just waiting for either Bannon or Sam Valentine to turn on the other, but it would end up being The Hillbilly, Rex Carter, who would shock everyone in attendance and those watching at home, as after he and The Bloody Brit got the victory, Rex floored the Anarchy champion with a thunderous lariat, surely staking his claim for a shot at the belt. Was this just a ruse all along by the moonshine drinking, often overlooked, Carter to get close to the Anarchy championship, or perhaps a last second urge to throw his name into the hat? Either way, that was an alliance short-lived . . .

Coming off of his loss to Schmidty in the co-main event of Dark Carnival, losing the CMV United States championship in the process and giving the egomaniac just one more thing to brag and boast about, as if he needed it, that wasn't the end of the bad new for Samuel Boone. Exclusive post-match footage shows Boone in dire agony, promoting the referee to throw up the X, to which we see Angelico and Diablo of Heaven or Hell come down to the ring to lend their assistance in getting Sam to the medical examiners area backstage. It has now been reported that Boone has suffered several crack ribs and a minor concussion, the CMV doctor telling us that he'll be out of action for the foreseeable future . . .

Before the main event Elimination Chamber match at Dark Carnival, the CMV universe would be payed a visit from The Alpha Male, Furious Frank, who was short and sweet with why he was there. The former Alpha World champion would proceed to call out none other than Tim LaFave, who of course returned to CMV just last week after spending three months on the shelf thanks to an attack at the hands of The Furious One. Tim of course wouldn't wait around to get his hands on ole Frank either, attacking him backstage during Genesis just a few nights prior, and he wasted no time in responding to Frank's call for action tonight, rushing the ring but getting caught by his foe with a dirty knee to the head. Though the referee would try to maintain control, his attempts came to no avail, as Frank would get the upper-hand and begin hammering away at Timmy. That is, until an unexpected arrival in The Firestarter, Ryan Kent, would arrive, coming at Frank and putting some distance between he and LaFave. The CMV universe seemed confused, there was no love between Kent and Tim, in fact, there was some leftover bad blood from their ugly X-Gen split. Their curiosity was soon put to rest, as Ryan would pull the rug up from under us, attacking old Timmy boy and leaving him unconscious for Frank to feast on, and although The Alpha Male appeared just as lost as all of us, he took advantage of the opportunity, delivering a cringe-worthy Route 66 to Tim onto a steel chair . . .
