A Vengeful Skirmish

The scene fades in from black to a misty setting, dead trees strewn throughout the landscape make shapes in the moonlight. The camera sweeps through the dead forest to a church, moving all the way around the side and through a hole in the stained glass window. The church is dimly lit, the only light coming from a few candles that flicker in the wind, the congregation is empty, as the camera tracks through the church it reveals that every pew is left unfilled, panning to the altar where Bannon is stood talking into the vacant room.

Bannon

--as the darkness surrounds you, immerse yourself, bathe in it and let it save you. Take my hand and I will lead you to salvation.

I hope you all listen to what I have said here today, thank you.

Bannon collects an indiscernible book from the lectern and walks down from the altar passing each pew and acknowledging his imaginary cult, as the door grew closer he came parallel with the last bench when he heard a faint whistle.

"Doo Doo Doo, la la la... Ah shit"

The sound of a glass bottle smashing on the concrete floor echoed throughout the empty sanctum...

Bannon snapped his head to the sudden disturbance...

The candlelight flickers and reveals Billy Weaver lying down on the bench, hands behind his head and his hat resting on his face. Bannon's face fills with outrage as he snarls

Bannon

YOU!

Billy jolts to a seated position hat still sitting on his face, flicking the hat back up to his head he looks up and with a slight grin, standing up he says.

Weaver

Howdy!

Bannon explodes in anger, letting out a roar and charging forward with barbarity before being put down by an outstretched leg, now sitting, Weaver grins again...

Weaver

Howdy!

Billy hits Bannon with a right hook as he's trapped under the pew, as he goes for another punch Bannon sets himself free and grabs on to Weaver's leg.

Weaver

Ah, Shit!

Bannon picks Weaver up and lifts him in to a powerbomb position Weaver swings wildly connecting lefts and rights to Bannon's head making him stumble and fall, 'The Hillbilly Outlaw' taking the brunt of the damage as he explodes through a nearby pew. Bannon rolls away from the wreckage panting and scrambling to the altar obviously thinking that this fight is done. As he gets to the front of the church a sudden roar echoes throughout the hollow place of worship.

Weaver

GET BACK OVER HERE YOU SUNNAVABITCH!

Weaver just refuses to stay down as he runs along a bench and latches on to Bannon's back elbowing him to the back of the head, Bannon thrashes around trying to peel the redneck off his back. Billy holds on long enough to swing around and pick up a beer right off the Altar, chugging the contents before smashing it over the head of 'The Healer'. The impact brings Bannon to his knees as Weaver finally releases his grip sitting next to his downed foe. With no energy left Billy just starts laying into the former anarchy champion with backhands while they are both sitting next to one another shouting between each hit.

Weaver

JUST *WHACK* GO *WHACK* DOWN *WHACK* YOU *WHACK* STUPID *WHACK* SON *WHACK* OF *WHACK* A *WHACK* BITCH!

Billy throws one more punch at his bloodied adversary but as he tries to pull his hand back for another his hand doesn't move, he looks up surprised to realise that Bannon has his hand trapped between in his grasp. He looks over at the deranged cult leader in awe as Bannon's eyes flicker and a smile dances across his lips.

Weaver
You crazy motherfu--

Before he could finish his statement, Bannon pulls him in for a huge uppercut to the jaw and gets to his feet dragging the fading Weaver up the steps to the solid stone Altar, he drags Billy on to it before climbing up himself and setting him up for the 'Healing Touch'. In the last moments of Billy's demise Bannon laughs and says...

Bannon

Don't worry! This is all to save you!

Giving Weaver a few more moments to recover and slip out of the move and crawl through Bannon's legs, jumping down from the altar, Billy grabs the psychotic leader by his ankle and pulls letting his head hit the altar on the way down, rocked by the blow Bannon stumbles and gets thrown to a font of holy water by his rival, Walking over to the font that Bannon is draped across Weaver grabs his head and dunks him in it face first, holding him under for a while.

Weaver

I. SAID. GO. DOWN.

Billy dunks him in the water a good 5 more times before smashing his head on the stone rim of the font. Before walking around the church to find another weapon, he comes across the church organ and goes to a room behind it looking around in crates and boxes he finds a bottle of water.

Weaver

Man, where's Jesus when you need him?

He peers into the water as if he is going to turn it into wine by sheer willpower. After a few seconds of intense staring he throws it over his shoulder and walks over to a step ladder, shrugging he folds it and turns around right into a vicious lariat by Bannon, grinning once more he picks the heap of redneck up by his redneck and runs full speed at the back of the organ. CRASH, Weaver flies through the organ pipes and lies motionless on the cold stone floor. Walking over to the front of the organ Bannon plays a creepy out of tune song before ripping a couple of smaller pipes off the organ and burying Weaver beneath them. Walking through the center of the church Bannons limps to the broken bench picking up his book before heading to the door, as he leaves a gust of wind extinguishes the candlelight. The camera pans back through the path of destruction Bannon left in his wake before coming to the pile of broken tubes and man. The camera gets closer and closer to the mound before holding the shot for a few moments.

Weaver

Fuck.

The scene fades to black.
