CMV Exclusive: Fusion #98 Kick Off

At the top of the show just before Monday Night Fusion gets underway we open to a camera following a few referees running in the backstage area. In the distance the sound of two men fighting can be heard as well as people yelling to get them to stop. As we turn the corner we see the Fusion Mr Money in the Bank, Jacob Ziegler throw a referee off of him almost sending him flying down the hall before he starts kicking a man on the floor beneath him desperately trying to protect himself. More referees begin closing in on Ziegler causing the Scotsman to lift a metal pipe off the floor and turn towards them, threatening them and scaring them back off. The man on the floor begins to stir and cough causing Ziegler to turn his attention back towards him. Ziegler leans down and grabs the man by his arm and neck and drags him to his feet allowing the camera to see clearly who it is now. It’s none other than the man who beat Ziegler at Battle Scars, Andrew Briggs. Briggs with blood dripping from his forehead tries to fight Ziegler off but it’s no use, he’s too beaten up to defend himself at this point as the Scotsman delivers some stiff knees to the ribs of Briggs before letting him go and watching him fall back down to the cold, hard floor below. A brave referee lunges at Jacob and tries to pull him back but it was a bad move as Ziegler turns and grabs hold of him before throwing him as hard as he can off of the wall beside them, knocking the referee unconscious. Once more Ziegler turns his attention to Briggs and pulls him back to his feet but this time puts him in a powerbomb position. As the onlookers plead with the Scotsman to stop he ignores them and lifts Briggs up for a powerbomb before turning towards them and throwing Briggs in their direction. Instead of catching Briggs however, everyone scatters to get out of the way leaving Briggs to crash into the set behind them, causing some of the equipment to spark and come tumbling down on top of him. Finally with Ziegler separated from Briggs, the officials step in and prevent Jacob from getting anywhere near Briggs again. The damage is done however and the Scotsman simple turns and walks away down the hall causing the referees and doctors to check on Briggs as the scene fades to black and Fusion to get underway.
