The Next Kill

Harvey Hastings had just been flipped over the top rope by Paul Divine. For a third time, the Asian Sensation had gotten the better hand of the German Assassin, and three times was enough for him. Hastings was quickly back to his feet, looking towards the ring as Divine and Crowe fought. He started to take a few steps towards the ring, but was quickly stopped by the referees. He shook his head and slowly walked towards the stage, but he had no intentions of going to the back.

He watched from the stage as Divine threw Crowe over the top rope, retaining his beloved title. Hastings gave a wicked smirk and flipped his phone out, texting someone. He waited eagerly for Paul to finish his celebrations when the music hit the speakers.

Several lights shined into the crowd as the remaining members of Global Offensive began to wander through the crowd towards the ring. Harvey rushed back down with a microphone in his hands and greeted his stable. Each man took one side of the ring, trapping the World Champion. Paul simply looked around with sketchy eyes, trying to make out the intentions of Global Offensive.

The four men glared at each other, Harvey motioning towards Nikola. The Serbian nodded and quickly dropped from the ring and collected the now stirring Crowe. In one quick motion, Ivanovic threw Crowe over the barricade, watching him flip onto the concrete. Before Paul could make any plans to escape from that side, Ivanovic returned to the apron.

Hastings chuckled softly, finally raising the microphone to his lips to speak.

You know what Paul. I'm not going to complain tonight... I'm in a good mood and there's certainly no doubt that you're in a good mood yourself... I mean, you retained against 29 other wrestlers.......

Actually... Wait.... You retained against three. Three Wrestlers.

Still quite an impressive feat, correct? So let's all give it up for Mr. Divine.

Hastings mockingly clapped as the fans booed him. The Assassin chuckling like a madman as he returned his gaze to Divine.

Ok. Let's cut the bullshit out of the way. You won. Fair and Square. And I cannot change that. But, there will be a change.

I've been in this business for almost a year now and have accomplished more than many other rookies in my place. I mean, I tapped YOU out TWICE. I got the United States Championship TWICE. And I've experienced all of that in TWICE the time that others have.

But you know what, Paul. I am sick. Disgusted. With all of the seconds... And I am sick and tired of being second place to you. It's time for a first, Paul.

Hastings pointed down at the Undisputed Championship.

I want to be the first man in this company to not BEAT a champion. But to KILL a champion. I said this a long time ago to 10|EL, but I should emphasize it one more time.

I have killed. Twenty. Three. Men. As a soldier. And now, I want a Twenty-Fourth kill to my legacy.

I intend for that twenty-fourth man to be you.

Hastings and the rest of Global Offensive began to climb the ropes, but halfway through they stopped.

But not tonight... This is your moment... Your last to be exact. So savour it.

The four men hopped off the apron, slowly converging to Hastings side as they backed away and up the ramp.

I mean, it's not wrong. Rookies have been getting title runs months after debut.
