Smoke choking the life out of the air that fills the bathroom. A solitary man sits in the bathtub, smoking a cigar, staring into nothingness, eyes glazed over like a heavily coated donut.

???:

I want food on my table. It's cause never get it right. That's the reason I never get enough food for my table.....I fuck it all up. I should burn like all the others. Perish for failing. I never get it right.

The mystery man lights a cigar, puffing it for around 7 seconds before taking a swig from a bottle of Jack Daniels and breathing a sigh of relief: that the swig got down his throat before getting the chance to throw up.

Brain won't stop. My mind moshing around with all these convoluted thoughts......why we're here.....why certain people attain the highest of accolades, even if they don't deserve it? Always battles me, y'know.

The man coughs profusely for a few seconds, laughing at his weak health.

The man crawls out of the tub, dry heaving as if to release some sort of vomit as he suffers from the slightest of movements.

CMV seemed like a no-brainer. Since 2017, it's felt like I've been fighting the clock. Chasing it.....I'm on borrowed time, but eh....I can't stop this. I'm always chasing this.

The figure coughs up some blood, staining the bathroom floor, laughing at the pain that this disease is causing him.

I want to beat the clock. I wish I knew that I could. It's 50/50 at this point.....but that doesn't detract me. I'm too powerful to stop. NGW....I'll see you guys in a few weeks. If I'm still ticking in June....we'll meet again.

His fingers slide down the wall as he gasps for breath, a name written down in blood contaminating the pristine wall layed before the diseased figure...."Johnny".
