Covers Aftermath #23 - DefCon 2

1. Chris Proudfoot

W - Aftermath #23 with a bunch of people Versus a bunch of people.

W - Crossfire #41 Versus Archer Rose

W - Crossfire #42 with Bloody Justice Versus Adam Valentine and Xander Slate

W - DefCon 2 Versus Adam Valentine, Referee Tyson decided to be extremely corrupt.

For those looking into the stats of this top ten, so far, Chris Proudfoot has not lost a single regular one on one match since the top ten started, the only exception being Validation if you count that, although, that was a quantlet match. Not only that, Proudfoot has won his last ten matches straight. The Candian Born Kid has been on a historic tear through the CMV roster, one that has been talked about a lot so far in this top ten.

However, Proudfoot’s very clear character flaws and questionable motives aside, his last win is debatable if it came completely from his own ability. The amount of time Proudfoot had to kick out was huge yet he didn't kick out. There were six seconds before Proudfoot was out of Valentine’s pin due to Referee Tyson refusing to count or getting distracted. That means one of two things happened last night.

Chris Proudfoot was beaten by Adam Valentine, who did have some help from EATON so not a completely clean loss but still a loss if the pin was counted.

Or Chris Proudfoot somehow knew that the pin wasn’t going to be counted so he didn’t bother kicking out, either way, the conspiracy deepens.

2. Head Senator Shay Hoxton

L - Aftermath #23 with a bunch of people Versus a bunch of people.

W - Supremacy #58 Versus MLP

W - Defcon 2 Versus Pierre Thompson, Undisputed Championship Match.

There’s a very clear repeating trend in the top four here so there isn’t a whole bunch to say about the returning four, however, I can say this about Shay Hoxton, or rather question this about Shay Hoxton. What the hell is next for him? Hunter Quinn was defeated. Pierre Thompson was defeated. The only one that comes to mind is Brett Angel, the man with two separate wins over the Undisputed Champion. But with Angel still possibly chasing after his lost International Championship, even that isn’t a sure answer.

No matter what, the questioning of challengers isn’t due to a lack of top level talent, it’s the result of the proud American’s dominance by himself and with The Cabinet.

3. George King
CMV's Top Ten Edition Five! F92c6c2b19ae54ae51b7a276be68b0bf
    W - Crossfire #42 Versus EATON

    W - DefCon 2 Versus Archer Rose

After revealing his true feelings toward former champ Josh Wolf after his slaughter of him at CyberSlam, King’s reign was certified to be one filled with broken bones and shattered hopes all from those that dare stand up to the True King. After having a back to back clash with the biggest man most of us have ever seen in EATON, King set his eyes on destroying the rookie Archer Rose who dared to disrespect him at his celebration. Even though it was a non-title bout, the wrath of the True King absolutely destroyed Archer. Rarely did Rose get offense in and King didn’t even decide to let it go any sort of distance, as soon as the opportunity arrived he sent Rose to hell with a powerbomb from the top rope for the three count. The next challenger may be Chris Proudfoot who’s undefeated streak is all filled with very big wins, but, if George King gets into that mode of his where everything is going his way, I’d dare say he’d be the most dangerous person in that match.

4. Amber Reed
CMV's Top Ten Edition Five! F7796aa0a616524858713ede1833a48b
L - Supremacy #58 Versus Jade Divine

L - Crossfire #42 Versus Jade Divine & RVW

W - DefCon 2 Versus Jade Divine, Women’s Championship

The very successful Woman’s Champion was enjoying the usual reign over the division as she has for the last two months. Two championships and the only major threat RVW, the expectation was Reed would do what she always did, usually win. That was until of all people, JADE DIVINE returned and in a back and forth match was able to get a win from the champ. The following show, the same thing happened except now Reed would have to swallow the pill she also lost to RVW. Come DefCon in a match that was shorter than expected, Reed let out all her frustrations and dominated Divine most the match with just absolute offense, maniac offense that was constantly unrelenting which led to a defense. This isn’t going to be the end of Divine Vs Reed, but she won the battle that counted this time around.

5. Bloody Justice

       W - Crossfire #41 Versus Adam Valentine

W - Crossfire #42 with Chris Proudfoot Versus Adam Valentine amd Xander Slate

       W - DefCon 2 Versus Xander Slate

The world’s most lovable Spider Cultist rises from never mentioned on the top ten at all to number five with a very good week for himself. Three straight wins and a BIG win over Xander Slate. We still don’t really know the location of Xander Slate or if he’s okay but BJ served his revenge against him so, he gets this spot.

6. Quantum
CMV's Top Ten Edition Five! Afd94ab730f3393ef97434cd991a2b14
      W - Aftermath #23 Versus Sam Valentine

L - Aftermath #24 Versus Xander Slate through a very cheeky surprise roll up.

W - Crossfire #42 Versus Ryuk, European Championship.

Quantum has been stuck in a time loop of landing in six or seven constantly on this ranking but that doesn’t in any way shape or form dismiss The Future Man’s abilities. Another consistently great month for him and that title seems like it’s never going to leave his hands.

7. D’Angelo Prince
CMV's Top Ten Edition Five! F43b214ba3c9036cad3120ebf11af5c3
W - Unknown Event Taking Place After Cyberslam but Before Aftermath #23, Versus Sugar Bae Stevenson, Internet Championship

L - Aftermath #23 Versus Mystery Mask III, Internet Championship.

W - DefCon 2 Pre Show Versus The TED, US Championship.

Despite the victory over Sugar Bae Stevenson being erased from history since it’s not posted on the Youtube channel or on Twitch, I was sent the result and saw the match so It’s still counted. Who I considered anyway, the greatest Internet Champion ever, finally lost that title against probably the most successful Aftermath competitor ever, MM3. After that the leading man of Wrestling Royalty bounced right back up and won the US Championship from The TED. Rough start but great ending.

8. Next Gen Renegades

L (Jay Young) - Crossfire #42 Versus Chris Diamond

W - DefCon 2 Versus Diamond & Turner

9. Jason Spade

W - Aftermath #24 Versus Levi Tuitama Internet Championship.

L - Aftermath #26 First Annual “Fuck Fest” match, Internet Championship.

W - Aftermath #27 Versus Nelson Roode Internet Championship.
