Perry I was hoping to catch a word with Dante Tatum. What many a branding a heist. The shocking reemergence of Ken Donahue. Any comment on behalf of the Chain Reaction camp?

Perry Heenan:
Ken Donahue spent years as a loyal and faithful CMV employee. He had a state of the art office in Connecticut, someone on standby to deliver coffee and cater to his every want. But that wasn’t him. He’s not a coaster, he’s a workhorse. And having hustled on the independents since he was sixteen years old in 1983, having never being offered a contract with a major company he made it his personal mission to expand CMV’s talent net.

He went town-to-town many sleepless night scouring this country for diamonds in the rough and he took them all and put them in one big basket called NGW. Hands on and on the ground he took that show from that dusty, sweaty university gym to a sold out United Center for Homebound in Chicago. The show that those same Connecticut offices viewed as “Developmental” became equal. The show that brought to light the superstars of today.

He scouted Blake Virtue. He scouted Ace Reeves. He scouted Ashley Rayne. He scouted Johnny Cloudcutter! Most importantly he scouted our very own Dante Tatum. His NGW kids, and that’s what he called them with many considering him a father in return, would migrate with the main roster and Ken would go into week-to-week ratings warfare as general manger of Crossfire, another behemoth, another one of the most critically acclaimed shows in wrestling history.

But supposedly that wasn’t good enough. Working selflessly and thanklessly like a FUCKING dog for the betterment of other people wasn’t good enough and like the toy that defines the little boy’s childhood, the boy is all grown up and courting women. KICKED TO THE CURB AND CAST AWAY IN THE MOST UNCERTAIN OF TIMES WHERE WE’RE ALL SUPPOSEDLY “IN IT TOGETHER”.

Ken Donahue used to be humble man. Now he’s a righteous man. And where others may have forgotten, where’s others may be ungrateful Dante Tatum recognises who gave him his start. He personally called Ken Donahue up and he said if I’m going to be world champion, and I will, you best bet the man who first believed in the prophecy, THE GODFATHER, is going to have the best seat in the house. Bent over the ring apron and barking instruction just like the old times because this veteran of the game with his ear to the ground heard the murmurs and quietly sighed himself a mangers license in his final act. This is all above board.
