LaFave is not my Fave

As raw opens up we see Paul Divine enter the Arena wearing a hoody trying to hide his face. He walks briskly towards the locker room. Renee meets the Asian Sensation half way and catches him off guard.

Paul about last night...

Divine stops not raising his head still hiding his face.

You know what Renee I'm not proud of what I did last week. It was in the heat of the moment. I've heard the murmurs backstage that we are breaking up. That I believe Blizzard is holding me back. The fact of the matter is Blizzard is better than me. When we were in the tag team division we were unstoppable. And, as much as I want to get a singles career going I keep coming up the loser. You see Blizzard has found so much success once we took a hiatus from the tag division. And frankly I'm a little jelly at the fact that he is doing better than me. I'm not saying I'm right in being so. But I just couldn't take it anymore. I'm ashamed of how I handled it last week leaving my partner in the ring to be sacrificed. But sometimes we make mistakes and we learn from it.

Paul pulls back his hood and looks into the camera.

Now let me go about it the right way. First and foremost, I am sorry for leaving you high and dry in the ring. I let my emotions get the best of me. There has been some tension between us and it needs to be aired out. I need to prove to myself that I'm not the weak link. I need to prove to the universe that I am still relevant. At Armageddon I challenge you to a match Blizzard. But not just any match. Let's go big. Let's do it right. You and I, in the cage, one on one. Win or lose it will be a good match and I'll be able to walk out with my head held high. I think this will be good for us brother. What doesn't kill us, will make us stronger. And after Armageddon, X-Gen will be stronger.

Divine pulls his hoody back over his head and walks away towards the locker room.

After his match Marcantel has an interview with Renee

Renee:Marcantel, just moments ago you lost the Cyborg Invitational match against Kendall Wolfe what are your thoughts?

He speaks in a low voice

Marcantel: Personally Renee like I've said I don't care about the result I fight to inflict pain and make my opponent suffer, but I give my props to Wolfe, he fought and fought and even almost gave me a concussion with that dive--

Renee: But, Marcantel since you lost you are probably lower on the leaderboard for the Cyborg Invitational--

Marcantel: RENEE lets get something straight, I don't care about the Challenge, I don't care about what anyone has to say about me, (laugh) and frankly I don't care what that big green idiot has to say, and if Cyborg even cares about what I just said he will do something about it HIMSELF not send that kiss ass Cole Savage to do his dirty work. Because Renee, I DONT TAKE ORDERS FROM ANYONE!!!!

Blizzard enters the arena and is stopped by none other, than Renee Young. They look at each other awkwardly for a moment.
Renee begins hesitantly, "Blizzard..."
Blizzard cut her off, "Listen, Renee... What happened before... That wasn't me. I'm a different person. I want to apologize for all you went though, all the remarks by Scott Norrie and the other superstars. With that said, let's keep this professional, yeah?"

"Right.. " she continues with the interview. "Paul Divine had some words for you recently regarding him leaving your tag team match. He also has challenged you to a cage match at Armageddon. What are your thoughts?"

Blizzard pauses for 3... Exact... Seconds...
"I'm not upset... I understand where he is coming from and more importantly I understand how he feels. So he wants to challenge me to a match to clear the air? That's fine.. I've laid down to give him a shot at Hayden in the past. Then we went toe to toe in a classic ladder match right here on Raw. We can have another match. There nobody in the world I would enjoy being in the ring with than Paul Divine, not because I want to beat his brains in like I want to do to Marcantel... But because I know we will perform and put on a great match.

The thing about XGEN is that we bring out the best in who we face. We force Others to dig deep and find the will to survive, and in the end that creates memories and moments that will never be forgotten.

So Divine, you want a cage match that nobody will ever forget? There's already a cage match that night, and while we can steal their thunder I propose a different option. Blood is thicker than water, right?
Then I say, save the cage match for another day...

I say, let's see who can go the distance. I say... Let's have an IRONMAN MATCH!!! But with one little stipulation ..
Blood is thicker than water? Then let's make it a first blood stipulation."

Renee looks confused.

"Pins, submissions, KO... All rack up a count to the final total. But if either of us spill blood before the match comes to an end... It's over. We will fight, and we will create a memory... But when it's all over we both will be stronger. You think XGEN is on the brink?"
He chuckles.
"We haven't even begun to begin."

A Cameraman follows Tim LaFave down a hallway backstage shortly following the PPV, LaFave stops in front of a door with a plaque reading "Slate" across it. LaFave knocks. Shortly following the door opens revealing Slate.

"Oh hey, man." says Slate

"You guys work it out?" LaFave obviously refering to the dispute between Team Slate members Randy Borton and Xander Slate himself transpiring over the last couple of weeks and culminating in a stunning singles match.

"Oh yeah, done and dusted, holmes." replied Slate.

"Awesome, now I feel I can comfortably give you guys my all, knowing all your BS is pushed aside."

"Yup, make your fallout debut great man, we're counting on your to make yourself look good."

"Hey, I'll do my best, don't worry about it."

"Alright man, I got shit to do, so we'll talk later, aight?"

"For sure, man. Thanks again for the recruit."

"No prob man." Slate closes his dressing room door and LaFave shakes his head.

"Thank god that shit is over with." LaFave then treads down the hall as the camera's shot fades to black.

The camera focuses on Renee Young backstage, holding a microphone in her hand.

"Ladies and gentlmen, Tim LaFave."

Tim LaFave enters the shot from the right, wiping the blood from his forehead with a white washcloth. The crowd can be heard from the arena cheering LaFave and Savage's match.

"Tim, you just debuted on CMV with your first match, unforchanately you lost, how are you feeling right now?"

"Renee, I gave it my all, I put Cole through one helluva match and I'm sure he'll remember me. Whether I won or lost, I'm proud of my performance and I hope the CMV Universe is proud too. I hope I can put on some more bangers for them and the boys in the locker room. Thanks, Renee."

LaFave briskly walks past Renee and the cameraman and dissapears out of shot. Renee smiles and the shot fades back to the arena where Sunshine is about to enter.

How dare you try and bud into my bussiness. I'll have you know that I have been doing my finest work elsewhere. Somewhere that doesn't have idiots like you. I have been progressing around the indies. Getting down my new look and moves. So that I dont need to answer your questions about these "loses."

Right... So how to you feel on your upcoming 4-way match for The U.S title contendership? I know it must be refreshing to face off against former Undisputed Champion, Ryan Kent. Even though last time you suffered a lost to him. But you haven't faced Tyrant or Jaxon Jordan. So what is your game plan for tonight?

First of all I knew Kent would fash in either way so I gave him the momentum so he could win that title from a hurt JustIN Sane, to only lose it quickly after. As for Tyrant and Jordan I have faced them in the indies before. Just a couple of rookies. Never ask what's my game plan because why would I tell you? I know what to do so, stay out of it.

Paul Divine walks out of X-Gen's locker room only to be met by Renee Young

Paul, after your Iron Man Match at Armagadon ended in a 1-1 tie, can you now move forward or is there still some jealousy lingering?  

Paul address Renee directly his face showing no emotion

You know Renee the fact that the match ended the way it did proved something to me.  It reminded me of our X-Gen philosphy.  Something that I've allowed myself to forget.  Blizzard and I are equals.  My losses have nothing to do with Blizzards wins.  It was too easy for me to cast the blame on him instead of looking to myself.  I didn't wanna aknowledge the fact that maybe it was me that was holding myself down.  During our match I proved to myself that it was all in my head.  We always bring out the best in each other.  We always put on 5 star matches because of it.  We left everything in the ring that night and left Oakland stronger than ever.


Paul looks into the camera now and address the fans and the other wrestlers

You see, I've said it before.  X-Gen isn't going anywhere.  Blizzard and I are the pillers of X-Gen and we will never crumble.  We may have our differences but thats just normal wear and tear.  Stable mates may come and go but in the end the pillers stand strong, much like the pillers of the ancient coliseums which housed the battles of Gladiators    

The Asian Sensation looks back to Renee

Now if you will excuse me Renee we have some issues to address and some much needed rebuilding of our empire  

The rest of X-Gen emerges from the locker room.  Blizzard pats Divine on his shoulder.  Divine looks to his friend and lets a rather evil smile play on his lips before turning towards the entrance heading to the ring.  You can hear X-Gens music scream over the speakers and the crowds cheers echo through the building
