Following the tag team encounter that saw The Fast & The Furious defeat the failed pairing of Randy Borton and Kendall Wolfe, the lights in the arena dim down low as the CMV fans rise to their feet in anticipation for the second annual Cyborg Invitational winner, JustIN Sane. The spotlight follows the longest reigning Undisputed World Heavyweight champion of all time as he slowly but surely steps out onto the stage, his head hung down low. This is the first we've seen of him since being defeated by Bryan Novak last night at Purgatory and missing out on his opportunity to main event Ascendance once again. One of the biggest names in this business' history begins his trek down the ramp to an absolutely ignited crowd here tonight, chants of, "SANE! SANE! SANE!" and "You were screwed! You were screwed!" ringing through the ears of The Unpredictable One.

He finally reaches the ring and takes a moment to soak in the fans' energy before sliding underneath the bottom rope, softly asking for a microphone from the ringside area. Sane plants his feet firmly right in the center of the arena, panning his head from left to right while the audience awaits with baited breath as to what their anti-hero has to say about the past twenty-four hours, and his future. JustIN nods his head, lifting the mic to just up under his chin . . .

If you're a fan attending tonight's event, well, rest in peace your hearing, because the crowd is probably being heard all across the country! First Conor McGregor and now without a doubt UnMatched's biggest export, it's three-time World champion, the living legend himself, Brett Angel!!! Sane is certainly caught off guard, how can he not be? But as usual, you'd never be able to tell as he hides his emotions better than anyone else can. But what could Brett Angel POSSIBLY be doing here on Monday night Fusion!? With an abundance of fan support behind him, whatever his intentions may be, Angel heads straight for the squared-circle, perhaps one of the only men alive who could rival his stature and accomplishments, JustIN Sane, stepping back, holding out his arms as if to say, "come on in!" And Brett does just that, without any hesitation, without showing an ounce of fear, he squares up to Fusion's poster boy, but in a respectful way, not intruding on Sane's personal space, but looking him dead in the eyes and never taking his sights off of him.

This goes on, one of the most intense stare-downs you'll ever witness, for about thirty seconds, before Angel shifts his arm up to point at the Ascendance banner flying high above the ring, and oh boy does the crowd shit their pants! JustIN smiles, cocking his head back and then nodding it up and down, and without a SINGLE word spoken, possibly the biggest match in CMV history has just been made; Brett Angel versus JustIN Sane on the grandest stage of them all, Ascendance!!! Brett too puts a smile on display as he's the one to back-off, again showing his opponent the up-most respect as he exits the ring and begins to head back up the ramp, the show cutting to a commercial break as Sane looks back at the banner himself, realizing that even though he won't be in the main event this year, he'll be stealing the show!
