The Diamond Interview Empty The Diamond Interview

*We open to that large lavish room where we first saw 'The Diamond' Howard Phillips to see Lisa Evans sat in a chair across from Howard, who is puffing away on a cigar in his expensive suit as Lisa interviews "The Diamond"*

Lisa Evans: Ladies & Gentlemen, I am pleased to be joined by my guest at this time, Howard Phillips.

*Howard takes one last puff of his cigar, before stubbing it out in an expensive crystal ashtray and speaks.*

H.P.: Miss Evans I find it strange for you to call me your guest when it is you who is a guest in my home. Nevertheless, you should be pleased to be interviewing the new Diamond Standard in CMV.

Lisa: Yes, my apologies. This past week you made your first one-on-one debut, winning in an impressive match against Breakthrough, although controversially, what are your thoughts on you opponent?

H.P.: Controversial? There was absolutely nothing "controversial" about my victory over Mr.- ah, what kind of name is "Breakthrough"? How does one choose such a ridiculous name, is it all one word? Is it his actual name? "Break" "Through"? Do I call him Mr. Break, Mr. Through? As for my thoughts on this man, he is a simpleton he makes such a grand speech on how he is going to break things, I'm just surprised he can lace up his own boots. He says he's started at the bottom, well of course, but he is going to stay there as it is where a man such as he belongs. There is simply no elegance, no professionalism to a man who chooses such a non-name to perform under. No matter, as I was saying there was nothing "controversial" about my victory against Mr. "Breakthrough" nothing at all.

Lisa: Well fans seem to disagree with that statement Mr. Phillips as many have called into question your choice of a low-blow as a signature move thus the controversy. Why, if I may be so blunt, would someone who refers to themselves as "The Diamond" use such under handed tactics?

H.P.: Miss Evans you disappoint me, and your question is quite frankly disrespectful. I have accomplished much in my life and I look to conquer professional wrestling, a dangerous sport no question, so I will resort to any means necessary to achieve my goals here in CMV. When you have as much money as I have, lets just say officials will turn a blind eye to such a minor misdemeanor.

Lisa: Very well. You mention your success outside of the world of professional wrestling, which has earned you hundreds of millions of dollars. Why would a man of such wealth chooses to become a professional wrestler?

H.P.: I have accomplished a great many things before my arrival here. As a young boy I watched the sport with such glee, although as time went on and I matured I moved on to other things, things I have been successful at, so now that I have the time, I wish to achieve that childhood dream, by any means. People may not like that but that is non of my concern. I am simply here because I can be. My excellence far excels all others, I look to prove this and I will conquer this company and show that without a shadow of a doubt that I am The Diamond of CMV and that I am truly better than you.

Lisa: But I-

H.P.: Ah, Ah. I'm afraid our time is up, Charles may you show Miss Evans the door, I have an appointment to attend.

Charles: Certainly Sir.

*Howard stands and walks off as Lisa looks at Charles, Howard's butler, confused.*

Charles: Right this way ma'am.

*The camera fades to black as Lisa walks off screen.*
