Leo Cruz after TiT

Leo Cruz sits in his locker room in the early portion of UnMatched, his body language showing how bothered he is by the way his match with Sunshine went. Months of waiting boiled down to a performance he’ll never forget. Still, he has to push forward and move on, lest that match defines him, when in reality he can still become so much more.

After he takes a deep breath, a portal opens up behind him. So deeply lost in his thoughts, Cruz doesn’t even notice when Kurasuke enters the room and kneels next to him.

All those times Sunshine attacked you...your body, it broke. You fought---fought like a antelope in the jaws of an alligator, but the pain, it was draining your strength. Weaker you got, but you still fought. That’s why you’re the hero, and he’s the coward. We will march forward. Together.

Kurasuke and Cruz do their secret handshake then exit the room.
