and then even worse if those who are the problem have ties to those in power

what i'm saying is that they're likely impossible to reason with so engaging them is a waste of time

at least not when it comes to this
of course, this is just based on your side of the story with no visual evidence,
but i'm inclined to believe it's true considering the environment of a group of male kids/teens packed in one place

as well as throwing their weight around, politicking and all that fun stuff
and they especially like collectively shitting on people's caws
cause there are realistically no consequences, granted it is just a forum on the internet
anyways, i would say option two if feasible. find what you enjoy most, stick to it while doing your best to ignore the negative stuff
then when it's no longer fun or enjoyable and starts feeling more like a chore than a hobby you can call it quits
