Fight for Fusion

As Fusion enters the middle of it's time slot, the lights turn up and a rather familiar music hit the PA as, from gorilla, comes the always quick-to-the-ring Voice Vindy, with a microphone in his hand. As he briskly makes his way down the long ramp and into the ring he wastes no time, not allowing the crowd to voice any opinion either way. Instead he begins speaking immediately.

Someone once said; to get what you want, you have to reach out and take it.

Voice imitates his words by adding the gesture of reaching out his right hand and grabbing air.

I appreciate any man, woman or child who takes that saying and lives it. However, I don't respect ANYONE who dares try to take what's mine. I said when I joined this roster that Fusion would be mine. The corrupt ones back stage would be deposed and I would be the one dulling out opportunities in a just and fair manor. While I've veered from my path with my absence, I hear that one person wants to take Fusion because someone else has a shiny belt. Well lemme remind everyone here, in the stands and backstage. That gold doesn't mean anything. When management decides it's not yours anymore, it's not. What matters is control! Hastings may be the top of the heap from a competitive point; the monsters backstage are the top of the heap from our standpoint. All they have to say is "You're fired" "You're banned' "You don't belong" "You're jobbing tonight." So while Hasting may enjoy his Arm Drag Championship garnering victory, it won't last. But not because of anyone who beats him for the belt; Because of the big bads backstage.

Voice exhales after exhausting himself with words. After a moment he brings the microphone back to his face.

I'm out here because someone decided that their going to "Take Fusion". Ha! Not on my watch. I laid claim to this shit show from the moment I stepped foot in here. Shay Hoxton. You say you're taking Fusion "piece by piece" because of something as important to you as a belt. When I see the real problems backstage. The real evil. You selfish, pompous idiot, you, like everyone here doesn't see what's truly holding you back. MANAGEMENT.

Battle Scars is around the corner. And if anyone knows about Battle Scars, it's me.

Voice traces one of the many scars on his face with his finger.

The scars of war and betrayal. UnMatched betrayed me. But I took a stand and said; "I would not let them." And I came here. And I see an opportunity to end this oppressive regime on Fusion for the greater good; me. And you see an opportunity to grab a piece of metal you can't take home at the end of the shows.

Really what seems more important to you? At the end of the night. I will have you know, that Fusion is mine and you won't be taking it for any reason. You can try. But it's me you'll have to fight for it and I've been through enough crap to put up a good fight.

If you're going to call anyone, call me. We may have to have a meeting.

Voice turns the mics feed off as he rolls out of the ring and hustles his way back up the ramp; as Fusion goes to commercial before it's first mid-card match up

The camera comes in to a bustling casino floor filled with people playing with their poison of choice. Be it cards, slot machines, or alcohol, we see hundreds of people embracing the toxicity of Reno, Nevada’s El Morado. The camera pans over to the VIP section, where we can see Shay Hoxton sitting at a table designed like a roulette wheel, dressed in a nice black and purple suit. With a martini in his hand and a smirk on his face, the man raises his glass into the air.

"Well howdy howdy ladies and lasses."

He brings the glass back down to the tables and chuckles to himself.

"Piece by piece, boys and girls, piece by piece. Last week, I promised to take Fusion for myself, and so far I think we’ve all learned a grand lesson: Hoxton is always right. Just a few days ago, I stood across the ring with one of the fiercest and most feared competitors in not just CMV, but even the world, Bloody Justice! I walked into the ring knowing that this man was a monster, a devilish brute that strikes fear into all! Despite that, I walked into with the utmost braviary, and this knight in shining armor slayed the beast that no one else would dare face!"

Shay looks into the air, remembering the glory of his accomplishment.

"The crowd shouting my name, the women weeping tears of joy knowing the the vicious reign of Bloody Justice was over… twas in that moment, I realized something…"

He looks back into the camera with a face full of sympathy.

"I walked into Fusion with a goal, a goal to take my vengeance on one man at the top of the mountain! However, in that moment, as I looked into the eyes of the people, I realized my journey was so much more important than that! This mountain I am to climb with victory after victory, it is not a clear path of sunshine and rainbows, oh no! No no, it a path a evil and corruptness, a path that I must clear to topple the evilest tyrant of them all!"

This brave warrior’s tone changes to one filled with pure determination.

"The greedy, the cruel, the corrupt, they have plagued the lands of Fusion for far too long! This place, it needs someone who can truly make a difference… someone who can look the devil the eye and slap him across the face… someone who everybody can look up to. This place, what this place needs is a hero!"

Shay looks down at the floor.

"As I stared at the body of Bloody Justice, I realized that there was something very special about me. I had a gift, a special ability to stop the evil with the greatest of ease. This gift, I could use it to jump straight to the top and get my revengance, but as I looked into the crowd, I knew that this great power came with a great responsibility."

Shay’s eyes wander back up.

"It is I who is destined to become the hero that Fusion needs. With my gift of talent and my passion for success, I am the man who is destined to take Fusion back for the good guys and to bring justice and freedom to all the boys in the back."

Hoxton raises his hand, pointer finger in the air.

"All except for one."

With lightning speed, he slams his hand down onto the table.

"For there is one man far beyond saving! One who bathes in hypocrisy and and preaches the lies! Who could this man be? Could it Bloody Justice, the man I had just beaten? No, he has the potential to be a gr… a decent fighter if he can see the light. Is it PJ Moon or Schmitty, both who faced the ultimate evil and failed? No, for it was not their destiny to stop the evil, and I cannot blame them for this obvious failure. Is it Harvey Hastings, the evil personified himself? No… he is not a man, he does not count. So who? Who is this incredible man that I speak of?"

Shay shakes his head, barely being about to stomach this name.

"Voice Vindy…"

"Oh!"

Shay jerks his head back in disgust.

"How the man angers me! He goes out their, claiming to fight the evil and corruption himself, but has the gaul to drag my name in the dirt! This man attempts to turn the people against their only opportunity for change! The hypocrite, he speaks with a special form of evilness, for he is not satisfied with bringing the darkness, no, he feels the need to destroy the light."

Shay brings his hands to his face, forcing himself to remember a horrible event from the past.

"Just days ago… as I was walking backstage, I saw Voice. After his match, I saw innocent people going up to him and… and… counseling him…"

“Ooh Voice, it’s okay wittle guy, it’s okay! It was only a wittle bitty of wing wust, next time you’ll do so much betta! We bewieve in youuu!”

"Bleh… seeing this people be corrupted by him in front of me, it brought a tear to my eye. A man who lied his way into a legendary status, who tricked hundreds of thousands of people to love him. A man who claims to face the threat that he himself creates."

Shay stares straight into the camera with rage.

"Vindy, I hope you’re watching this, because you haven’t tricked me. You are a rat, and I will exterminate you. You are officially the first villain I shall slay on my quest to cleanse this brand. Your lies end here, your corruption must end. You can run, you can hide, but when you meet the undefeated hero that your victims need, I will have you sent back to the hospital. Hopefully the second time around you’ll be wise enough to stay at home. Accept your fate, evil doer, or I will leave you hurt and humiliated as punishment, and that’s not a bet, that’s not a threat, that’s a guarantee."

Shay’s rage is replaced with an egotistical smirk as he takes a drink from his glass. The camera fades to black.
