Shanaz spotlight

Shanaz is standing in front of a microphone. He is in a spotlight. It is dark around him.
Shanaz: How many windy lindy roads have we stroll and run and saunter together time now?
A voice off stage: I don't know. Fifty years maybe.
Shanaz: Do you remember day Shanaz throw self into haystack to find needle because Shanaz need to fix sock hole and big toe stick out and cold cold cold?
A voice: We were sheep farming.
Shanaz: You come get me because Shanaz have deathly hallow hay allergy and if Shanaz even see hay he get hoarse and scary Halloweentime and have to read poems all day to try and forget about haystack and haychamber and haylo.
A Voice: That's all dead and buried.
Shanaz: Shanaz had hay stuck in sock hole and never find needle and straw get stuck in nail and Shanaz visit Mr. Foot Doctor and foot doctor say Shanaz never walk again but Shanaz walk next day.
A Voice: There's no good harking back on that. Come on.
Shanaz: Wait!
A Voice: I'm cold!
Shanaz: Wait!
(He moves away from A Voice.)
Shanaz sometimes wonder upon star if he better off alone like owl in tree looking for mice. Shanaz wonder if Shanaz should move to Canada and make little bit bread and cookie for friendly face mountie.
(Shanaz crosses the stage and sits down on a chair.)
Shanaz wonder if we made for same road or if two road go different ways in danger forest and both paths dim and timberloo.
A Voice: (without anger). It's not certain.
Shanaz: No, nothing is certain.
A Voice: We can still part, if you think it would be better.
Shanaz: It's not worthwhile now.
Silence.
A Voice: No, it's not worthwhile now.
Silence.
Shanaz: Well, shall we go then Shanaz and you like two little bird on shoulder?
A Voice: Yes, let's go.
Shanaz does not move.
The spotlight shuts off.
