Burning Heart

The scene begins with Jason Spade sitting in his trophy room, attaching a leg brace to his left knee- the knee Brett Curtis targeted in their match on Supremacy. Spade clicks it into place and bangs on it for good measure, before standing up and testing his weight on it. Then he turns to the camera.

"A year ago, I was jerking the curtain at Ascendance VII. One of eight men in a ladder match, trying to claw their way to the top. This year, I am at the top- I'm the proverbial king of the hill, and they're coming for me. Andrew Briggs and Brett Curtis... The odds are against me, just the way I like them.

If you had told me that this year I'd be the Undisputed Champion, going up against two of CMV's best and brightest... I'd have said you're goddamn right. Because that's what I do- I turn shit into gold, I climb tall buildings to leap off of them, and I fall down and always get back up. My heart is made of my fire, and my blood is a symphony. You will never keep me down."

Spade grabs the Undisputed Championship and holds it proudly.

"You can take this, and maybe you will, but I'll be back. Briggs, it's your time to face the dragon... Curtis, it's time for me to get payback. Both of you are all time greats- but neither of you are Jason Spade."
