Another Challenge!

Backstage after Octane, Ashley Riot is being tended to by an EMT. Ashley is holding an ice pack on her shoulder while the EMT shines a light in her eyes, checking for a concussion.

"That last kick from Amber Briggs sure hit hard. You feeling okay?"

"Uh-huh..."

The EMT continues to check Ashley's eyes, as Riley Van Wilson enters the frame and hands Ashley a Hi-C juice box. Ashley quickly takes it and begins to sip on it.

"Well, I think you're alright. Have you ever had a concussion before, hun?"

"I dunno... Well, yeah, actually. One time I got hit with a cinderblock and didn't wake up for like, two days. The doc said I had brain damage. I've been colorblind since then!"

Clearly not expecting such a response, the EMT shakes her head.

"Well, like I said, you look fine, but head on up to the local hospital to get double checked, m'kay honey?"

"Sure! I'm pretty sure I still have insurance, but they keep asking me about the scars and I dunno if I should tell them how I got them... My trainer used to say, 'Don't ask, don't tell'."

The EMT packs her bag and leaves Ashley alone with Riley Van Wilson, who looks down at her partner.

"Are you sure you are okay?"

Ashley scoffs.

"Yeah, of course! I... Ugh, no. No, I'm not."

Ashley throws the ice pack and the juice box down and puts her head in her hands.

"After fighting Amber last week, I thought for sure I had her this week! That last kick came out of nowhere, and every time I had her pinned, Jade kept coming in! Ugh, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have needed you to come break it up. I mean, you didn't anyway, but it's cool..."

Ashley reaches down and picks up the juice box. She plucks some dust off of the straw before continuing to drink it. RVW grimaces slightly, but ignores it.

"She has more experience. Experience beats pluck. You will get better, and get her next time."

Ashley perks up.

"Yeah, next time! I'll get her next time for sure! You and me, you're right... About what you said before we came back here. We should stick together! I'm sorry I tried to break us up, I thought I was ready but I'm not... And I won't be until I prove that I can beat Amber Briggs!"

Ashley stands up and hands RVW the juice box.

"I'm gonna march right into Madison's office right now and demand another match! I can beat Briggs and I'm gonna prove it! Pillar my butt!"

Ashley hugs RVW, then makes her way out of the trainer's room. RVW watches her go, before noticing that she's still holding the juice box. She frowns, and tosses the box aside before following Ashley out of the room.
