If the stars align, who should take a spot in the Ladder Match on PPV?
NXT Ep. 39 Card
Match Card
Opening Match
Griffin Drake Vs Jack Swagger
One half of the NXT Tag Team Champions will go one on one with one half of the Number one Contenders, Jack Swagger, the star of his team here tonight, in what will be essentially a preview of things to come at Climb 2 Fame when The United Kingdom defend their NXT Tag Team Championships against The Patriots in the opening match of the night, which team will gain much needed momentum heading into the PPV though? A win here tonight will be crucial for both Swagger and Griffin, and with team-mates and managers banned from ringside, this match could be a straight up wrestling match, with no interferences.
Singles Action
Chad Vegas Vs Chris Adams (With his Momma)
Chad Vegas has a date with 5 other guys in Ladder match in four days time to become the number one contender for the NXT European Championship, while Chris Adams is yet to earn a spot on the card. It is between him and Kryminal to impress the NXT General Manager Kane here tonight on NXT, if he wins against Vegas and gets the most support from the NXT Universe, he'll take up the final spot in the ladder match, however there is a chance that both men will make it into the match, but Chris Adams will certainly not want to take that chance.
NXT Television Championship Number One Contenders Ladder Match
Dave Skylark Vs Brett Angel
To give the NXT Universe a small taste of what is to come at Climb 2 Fame in four days time, the number one contendership spot will be fought for in a ladder match here tonight between Dave Skylark and Brett Angel, Brett Angel has already secured a spot in the six man Ladder match, and so if he wins, it will go to someone else, which means there's all the more to play for, for Dave Skylark who will have no matches booked on the card if he fails to climb the ladder here tonight.
Singles Action
Kryminal Vs Jaymes Landon Vain (With Kane)
Kryminal is on quite the hot streak at the moment winning 2 matches out of 2 in this past month, if he wins here tonight he has a good chance of securing a spot in the number one contenders ladder match at Climb 2 Fame, however Kane is going to be giving it is all to prevent that, by putting his guy, JLV up against Kryminal, with the NXT General Manager appearing in his corner too, the odds are slim to none for Kryminal, but proven by JustIN Sane last week, it's not impossible to overcome Kane.
Main Event
JustIN Sane Vs Eric Matthews
One of the oldest rivalries on NXT, originating on the fallout of NXT Takeover when Eric Matthews attacked JustIN Sane before his champion Vs champion match against Boso The Magnificent. This rivalry will come to a close tonight, as friends rather than enemies, as they now have a common enemy in the form of the NXT General Manager Kane. These former rivals will be looking to take eachother to the limit one last time before JustIN Sane makes his full transition to the Main Roster.

I'm confused as to why there are two 38 cards?

Re: NXT Ep. 39 Card
Kept it short cause it’s been awhile and also cause I wanna play some pokemanz before RAW @ 10
Griffin Drake vs. Jack Swagger: ** ½
The match wasn’t offensively bad, it was just an extended squash. From the looks of it, United Kingdom is going to keep decimating the tag division.
Chad Vegas vs. Chris Adams: ****
Solid match that picked up toward the end as Adams tried hard to mount a comeback, but he wasn’t able to overcome the experience edge of Vegas.
Dave Skylark vs. Brett Angel: ****
A little too much finisher spam to give this a higher score, but aside from that, the bout was enjoyable and definitely had its tense moments as both men crawled toward the finish line.
Kryminal vs. JLV: *** ½
Solid match that just ran a little too short before it could be taken to the next gear. Surprising ending that could mean the start of a second wind for Kryminal after a rocky start.
Eric Matthews vs. Justin Sane: *** ¾
Pretty much the same feelings as the last match, though this one had the weapons play to spice things up a little bit. Sane leaves NXT looking strong, and after taking two straight losses, Matthews is going to have to figure out a way to overcome this momentum deficit heading into his title defense.
