CMV Genesis Card #79 (Ep. 313) SPTUzrH

Kicking off tonight's edition of Friday night Genesis fresh off the heels of Cause & Effect, we'll see some tag team action coming our way, as the CMV Light Heavyweight champion, Bryce Hurt, will be flanked by his hulking sidekick in Tito, to do battle with the man that he defeated to capture said championship, El Jefe, and the man that he'll face next Sunday at Emergence for the belt, Curtis Heist. El Jefe is too owed a crack at the title via his rematch clause, but for now he'll have to try and work together with the extremely intimidating Heist, which may be easier said than done . . .

Fatal-4-way action will keep the show rolling, when the four superstars who fell out in the first round of the Deadly Games tournament at Cause & Effect will all collide to try and emerge with some much needed momentum. Sam Valentine's loss to Kayden Kynra certainly came as a shock to many, but The Dream won't let his championship aspirations be so easily squashed. Whereas Pierre Thompson and Bison both have been struggling as of late, a big win like this one is crucial for keeping their names mentioned in the main event scene. And last but not least, we see the technical in-ring debut of Nick Bunn, Tim LaFave's almost identical brother who revealed at Cause & Effect that Tim had passed on, and how he'd be adopting the Against All Odds persona. This is sure to be one hell of a clash, but who will stand victorious when the dust settles?

Speaking of the Deadly Games tournament, it's first ever winner, Kayden Kynra, may have been unable to capitilize on his Alpha World championship opportunity in the main event of Cause & Effect, but he kicked off the show tonight by challenging Bob Luger to a rematch at Emergence. The champion accepted, and so now The BattleBeast is on the hunt for some always important momentum, as he takes on a man who believed he should have been involved in the Deadly Games, the leader of The Hellfire Club, Jon Reed.

Up next, our brand spanking new CMV World Tag Team champions, Zack Cage and Nick Blake, will be looking to kick-start their reign the right way, with a victory over The Misfits. Still undefeated, the pairing of Cage & Blake is seeming almost unstoppable, but Extreme Conditions do have their rematch set and ready to go, and Jeice and Zac Hardy should not be taken lightly, with only three losses this season, a win here for them could seem them launched right back into the title picture.

Partners at Wild Card go at it here in this one, when the rejuvenated, Josh Wolf, takes on the number one contender to the CMV International championship, Kaiva. Whether or not Wolf walks into this match as the very first ever Rising Star champion is unknown, but either way, this is a huge opportunity for him that he can't allow to pass him by. But with Randy Borton surely watching, The Latvian cannot afford to take a loss as their championship match lingers . . .

Brett Angel finally returns to action here in tonight's co-main event, after an- interesting sit-down with general manager, Dave Turner. Angel has given Turner his set list of demands to insure that he doesn't flake again, and has promised that if Dave does not adhere to said requests, then he'll once more go on strike. But if Angel does indeed compete tonight, he'll be standing across from a very pissed off, very dangerous, Furious Frank, in what could be his toughest challenge yet.

In our main event, it's a match-up that has bout of the century written all over it, as it'll be the CMV International champion, Randy Borton, taking on the CMV Alpha World champion, Bob Luger! These two men failed to work together at Cause & Effect alongside Kaiva against RISE, and now they have a chance to hash out whatever beef still may linger between them. Luger is no doubt still suffering the affects from pulling double-duty at the pay-per-view, something that The Milk Man will most definitely capitalize on. Both men have big matches coming their way next Sunday at Emergence, but only one of them can walk out with the extra momentum in their pocket and the bragging rights.
