Japan

Maurice Quinton Fisher first started wrestling at the young age of 20. Dropping out of UCLA early, Maurice wasn't willing to wait before going after his dream of becoming a wrestler. His first instinct was to travel to Japan and make a name for himself in different promotions. After months of being physically abused in the ring, Maurice knew he needed to toughen up before he'd be able to battle any of the masters of strong style. His body wasn't in the best physical shape. He knew he didn't want to be the biggest guy, but needed the right build to make himslef noticeable. Still after molding his body into great shape, he wasn't built for most of the pain. That's when he travelled elsewhere to gain resilience and pain tolerance.

CZW

Feeling the effects of the strong style kicks to the head and shoot fights, Maurice travelled back to America to one of the death match generator known as CZW. Match after match he took paralyzing weapons to his body. In an interview he said, "I can remember taking at least a dozen headshots with a chair." Eventually he grew custom to the style. He evolved with it. Still very damaged, his durability was better than before. He had all the endurance needed to last in a match, but not the ability it took to amaze the audience.

Mexico

Having enough in the tank to take a good bump wasn't enough. His finisher at the time was the only move he had in his arsenal besides a few suplexes and powerbombs. Travelling again Maurice sent himself to AAA. He was metored by some lucha greats who saw his potential. At first Maurice's attempts in AAA resembled a kid cosplaying his favorite luchadore. Botch after botch, most of those who tried saw him as a lost cause. Maurice found himself watching back tapes of some moves he wanted to try and imitated most of them. Took him months before he could perfectly do a moonsault or senton bomb without problem. One day Maurice went for a 450 splash and accidently botched and added another flip in a match. He thought the extra flip could still make for a nice move. Eventually he kept adding that flip into the move. It became a finisher. His abilities were at an all time high.

Back to Japan

Finally making his way back to Japan after over a year of grinding to become the best, Maurice became cocky and rightfully so. He was one of the best at the time. Given a title match in one spot Maurice would put his opponent on a seated chairs and go for a 630 sneton. Maurice was in the mindset that he could do anything. What was supposed to happen is Maurice would go for the move and land on his feet. Maurice didn't even try to practice the spot. He just went straight into the match thinking it would be as easy as he thought. But what actually happened was Maurice ended up putting himself through the right over the chairs. His foot catches the edge of the chair and he goes face first into teh canvas. Maurice suffered a servere concussion and a broken neck. Another year of Maurices career was gone.

Stay in the US

Maurice decided after his recovery to stay in the indies not too far from home. He didn't use the move as often. Being forced to water down his moveset, it went from one of his big finishers to a rare match ender. Two years of PWG matches, hard training, and recovery, Maurice made his CMV debut. Mocking an UnMatched veteran, Brett Angel, Maurice was imediately hated by the fans. Only 3 matches in CMV so far, Maurice has still shown only half of his ability. But still never winning a title.
