#7 - Agony

Kendall stares at Arthur without blinking. Cautiously taking his eyes off the Unique One, Kendall attempts to raise himself to his feet,
but collapses after a few seconds. Arthur powerwalks over and offers a helping hand, but Kendall raises his to signal no need of such a thing.
Arthur sees that Kendall is still having difficulty getting up, and so yet again dares to aid Kendall, who just slaps his hand out of reach. Scowling with each push, Wolfe finally brings himself up so that the soles of his shoes are firmly planted on the floor without any buckle. The first few steps are long, yet carefully selected. Another injury is not what this man needs at this point in time, as the acquaintances reach the door,
Kendall turns back, his right forearm on the door leaning for support.

Wolfe:

We had some fun times together, TJ. I think I'm gonna miss that the most.

TJ:

Yeah. Hey - stay safe out there, Kendall. Don't kill yourself over this.

Wolfe:

I wish I could promise you that. Goodbye, TJ.

A cheerful sly smile and a wave goodbye later, and the duo leave the old, abandoned boxing ring. Arthur is concerned for the health and wellbeing of Kendall, as he cannot ignore the grimaces of pain and the cracking of bones all within Wolfe, like he was caked in arthritis.

Wolfe:

Where's the car?

Rose:

I didn't bring my car, Kendall.

Wolfe:

I'm not walking, Rose. My body can't take much weight right now, let alone my own.

Rose:

We're using the car you used to get here, you dumb shit.

Rose opens his left arm to exclaimate to Kendall what his memory let him down on - a blue stock 1988 Buick Reatta.

Rose:

Not the fanciest of choices, not the newest of choices, but it gets the job done. Same could be said of you, Kendall.

Wolfe:

Shut up.

And with that said, Arthur situates Kendall in the passenger seat, allowing the CMV Alumni to take a moment to rest himself ahead of the journey he was about to embark.

Rose:

Ready, champ?

Wolfe:

I don't even know where we are heading. The short answer's no.

Rose:

We're off to CMV Fusion. We're off to save your career.

Wolfe:

Just don't kill me on the way there, I know how you drive, jackass.

Rose:

How about you shut up, stay alive and don't croak on the way, smartass?

Wolfe:

Aye aye, cap'n.
