The Ted and Bob Luger Have Words....

And out comes THE Ted flanked by his newfound manager, Todd Dickens. With the Devil in his shadow, he makes his way down the ramp, surveying the crowd with a concerned look on his face considering he’s getting such a mixed reaction. However, with a simple over the shoulder glance at his advisor, the concern diminishes. The two eventually take a stand in the center of the ring, where the Hot Head Todd Dickens raises a microphone to his lips.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII’M TODD DICKENSSSSSS!!!!!! AND I STAND HERE TONIGHT, AS A LOYAL ADVISOR OF THIS PERFECT TALENT STANDING BEFORE ME!

He points to THE Ted who stands in the spotlight next to his manager, with an emotionless yet intimidating expression laid across his face.

Not much has been said from us since THE Ted made his return a couple weeks back. We wanted action to be our intro to this comeback. Nothing that could be said would outweigh the impact my client made upon his return. He came back and he SQUASHED Xander Slate in under FOUR minutes. A former Undisputed Champion but more importantly, a detail that is very relevant to the narrative here, a former VILLAIN of the people. A man who roamed these halls with his buddies for YEARS, snapping arms and ending careers. He helped put a man in a coma. His countless wrong doings couldn’t just be washed away because he said he’s “changed”. So we carefully organized the bout to happen because THE Ted is, was, and will forever be FOR the PEOPLE!

He lowered his microphone so the camera could fixate on the absolute specimen that is THE Ted.

His goal will forever be to represent the CMV Universe. Xander Slate deserved to be pummeled and turned into a message because of what HE represents. Fast forward to the next week and would you look at that, his brother, the BIG BAD MENACE himself decided to target the Seeker of Justice because face it, that’s what he is now. That’s what this is all about. He seeks the justice that you were all ROBBED of in his absence. He’s doing all of this for you. But, Bob Luger can’t stand it. We hurt his precious brother. Something he should have seen coming, but now, he’s hurt and blindsided by THE Ted’s actions and he seeks something for himself now. Something he doesn’t deserve but he will scratch and claw on the way to achieve it. He wants…..revenge.

The crowd isn’t vibing with this narrative, considering who it’s coming from and who it’s against.

Bob Luger attacked my client last week and what happened? THE Ted demolished Rivers and was ready for more from The Work Ethic Titan. He isn’t the same man that walked away a season ago. He is refined and perfected. He’s in the best shape of his life. And to those who stand in his way of achieving his ultimate goal of becoming a symbol for all of you…….he’s absolutely DANGEROUS. So Bob, we are not waiting for you to come out here and make the inevitable challenge. We know it’s going to happen so what I say to you now is…….THE Ted…..accepts!!!!!!!

THE Ted vs Bob Luger has just been announced and the crowd goes nuts. Who wouldn’t? That’s a banger waiting to happen. However, the segment isn’t over. The moment goes on as suddenly the PA System lights up with…



There he is. The crowd as usual, greets him with a warm welcoming of cheers and chants in which he finds great comfort in. He closes his eyes and takes it in, in which THE Ted scowls at. However, The Cardiomaniac has a mission in mind. So he wastes no more time in walking down the ramp and slowly climbing through the ropes, never taking his eyes off his foe. He walks past Ted and Dickens before grabbing a microphone over the ropes from one of the members of the ring crew. He then turns to face the two once more.

Vengeance………it’s such a nasty form of emotional release. You get so much rage built up that the only thing you think will help is revenge. You destroy yourself in the process but you keep telling yourself “as long as they’re hurt then too it’s worth it”. But, it never is. You should never let your emotions get so wild that you lose yourself. I’ve been there, and that’s exactly why I deserve every bit of hate thrown towards me for my actions in the past. I buried people. I really did. I ended careers, same as my brother. I did all of that, and took such pride in it. My emotions were never stable. I got mad and would snap arms. So the idea that this…..is revenge….would mean I have learned nothing and I’ve let everybody down.

He turns to The Ted.

This isn’t revenge. Maybe I got worked up. I’m not perfect, and my change isn’t done. I stand before you a man in healing. So instead of being a crazed menace out for vengeance I am nothing more than a symbol myself. A symbol that you can change. You attacked Xander as if he’s the same guy who helped me beat people up a year ago. As if he’s the same guy who broke Hoxton out of prison. You attacked my brother after the match because you wanted to create an opportunity for you to win these people over. You don’t do it that way. It’s wrong and not fair. He lives with his internal pain EVERY DAMN DAY! You think he’s happy with what he’s done? You think I am? No. We are TRYING to make things better and it doesn’t help that you come waltzing in here sweeping away our progress and deeming us as the monsters we once were. So no…..this isn’t revenge, this is me fighting for the very idea you’re fighting to destroy. The idea that we can escape our past and finally be redeemed. We won’t stop. Believe that. Seriously, I want you to FEEL it. Because, now that it’s official, you and I, BattleScars, we will go at war with each other because as wrestlers that’s what we do. But the real battle is this. My WILL vs yours. Who’s will burn bright and who’s will be extinguished? That’s what we’re going to find out TED.

Todd Dickens prepares a witty barb to strike the Work Ethic Titan before his client takes his microphone away. We haven’t heard a word from this man in months. The crowd lights up for a mere moment as Ted looks Luger directly in the eyes.

Oh, Bob. I see what you’re trying to do here. You and Slate might regret everything that you did, but let me tell you, your constant internal pain will never match the EXTERNAL suffering that you put this company through for years! And these people around us? They see right through your excuses. While you might believe that there is a way to make things better, we’re here to tell you that you can’t live in hypotheticals. Your past can’t just be erased with one quick stroke of “I’m nice now!” as if the people you hurt can do that too.

Bob raises the microphone to answer Ted’s direct words before the Seeker of Justice, at least according to Dickens, swiftly interrupts him.

Do you know how I felt all those months ago? I had lost it all, and every week I fell deeper. I failed millions of people who wanted to see their idol DOMINATE CMV, and that made me almost give up. When Todd came to me, he stressed just how important it was that someone stood up for these fans. And that gave me the motivation to return. Because time after time I saw people like you, so incredibly power-hungry that you stepped on everybody’s backs to get what you desired. And you think that just because someone did that to you, you can just ignore all your sins? Bob, I was there fighting KLIQ years ago in the Tug of War. I was there last year fighting The Company too. You talk about your will to escape and all that, you say all these pretty and motivational words, but I don’t see anything different about you. Luger, you can try to deceive me, you can try to deceive the CMV universe, we see right through you. The last time you tried to pretend you were someone else it didn’t really work, did it?

Luger stands there for a moment. Taking in the sharp words from The Ted. Eventually, he lightly shakes his head up and down. Saying “ok” before raising the microphone to his lips.

Like I said. BattleScars……is a battle of wills. You’ll see, I'm not pretending then.

And just like that, Bob chose peace. He drops the microphone and begins to walk towards the ropes. However, while The Ted watches on, he hears the voice of his advisor whispering in his ear. Suddenly as Luger is halfway through the ropes, Ted rams him in the back of the head with a punishing forearm, sending him to the floor. Ted follows suit and heads to the outside as Luger scatters back to his feet, fighting back by ramming the returnee into the apron. Luger tries to chain a few strikes together but Ted manages to take back control with an elbow to the face. Bob stumbles backwards before Ted attempts to deliver a quick knee strike, which Bob swiftly evades.

Members of the CMV roster, alongside the security team, head down the ramp to separate the two wrestlers, now purely fueled by adrenaline. Luger charges at the Seeker of Justice as bodies crowd the ringside area in between the two. Dickens watches on from a distance, brandishing a wide smile as he witnesses what he and his client helped accomplish. Bob collects himself before he gets escorted to the back, as Ted looks around at the fans and attempts to rally them on his side. Some members of the CMV Universe are still shocked by the return of a fan favorite such as Ted, preferring to take in the moment instead of analyzing the motives that have driven him back. But The Ted does truly believe everything that he said tonight. And he’s going into BattleScars with a mission to get rid of evils on the level of Bob Luger, a man determined to prove he can still find peace with himself.
