Ep. 91 Card
Monday night RAW: Episode 91!
LIVE from San Antonio, Texas!!!
Payback card thus far! (Subject to change.)
- Duo Maxwell defending the Undisputed World championship vs. ???
- The King of the Ring tournament! https://bracketsninja.com/brackets/single/7626
- Levi Marta defending the United States championship vs. Kendall Wolfe!
- X-Gen defending the WWE Tag Team championship vs. Anderson & Turner!
- Ryan Kent defending the Hardcore championship vs. Zak Painn & Aaron Waite!
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
vs.
Both teams here will be looking to win big as the winner of this bout could be eyeing a future tag title shot down the road. If any of these teams had Cyborg on them they'd be champions by now, but there are teams like Zakk Attack that just can't be saved. Both sqauds failed to capture the tag belts from X-Gen at Wrestlemania, and The Naughty Guys couldn't quite get the job done at Backlash either. However, could having Hulk Hogan by their side lead to a second wind for this duo, or will The Ascension put them to rest in tonight's opener.
vs.
For months these two went to war for the World Heavyweight Championship, an intense, vicious rivalry highlighted by Sunshine mercilessly ramming Slate's head against the steel ring post over a dozen times. King Cyborg would have you believe that he played a role in those match's outcomes from the shadows, but tonight there is no king, there is no title--just two men who are going to go all out to settle an old score once and for all.
vs.
Kent has been bad mouthing X Gen for some time now, and we thought that culminated in a tag team match in which Kent's team failed to back up his words. However, he gets another chance tonight against Duo Maxwell, and despite how easy Slate and Painn made it look, beating the World Champion is no easy feat. When Cyborg was Hardcore Champion, he soundly defeated then-world champ Xander Slate. Can Kent prove his title is superior, or will Duo keep the ball rolling after putting away Sane last week?
vs.
For some reason we get an infinite amount of tag matches and triple threats, but the infinitely better Fatal 4 Ways rarely get any love. Painn will be featured in one of those triple threats as he desperately tries to prove that Big Show didn't carry him all those months by adding another singles title reign to his list of accomplishments. He'll be facing off against the former Hardcore Champion, Randy Borton, who is flying high after glitching his way to victory against Cyborg last week. Facing off against a former champ will be a good way for Painn to gauge his skills leading into the title match. Will he be able to keep up with Borton's extreme-ness?
vs.
A former King of the Ring winner in Cyborg takes on someone who could be a future winner, though there's more to the match than that. Both of these men are coming off of loses: Cyborg against Borton and Sane having a disappointing outing against Duo despite beating him the week prior. Not only that, but while Sane knows what he'll be doing come Payback, Cyborg made it clear last week that he has no plans of competing for the World Heavyweight Championship at the pay per view, that it was "too late" for him to save the title. Then there's the fact that Sane took Bison out of commission for the foreseeable future, something Cyborg may have wished he was able to do himself...
vs.
Sadly, Cyborg isn't main eventing, but this match will probably be all right. Here we have X-Gen taking on AnT in a preview of their clash to come at Payback. Will the fresh duo of Anderson n Turner show that they can hang with the champs, or do they lack the chemistry to slow down their pay per view opponents?

You idiot, Kendall Wolfe won't be wrestling till Payback. Please stick to posting sarcastic comments and let Dashing do the honours.
