Live from the heart of Texas, the inaugural Wild Card event will get underway with some tag team action, pitting The Hellfire Club's Jay Davis and Guri Sukanov, against the dark duo of Father Victor and Marcantel. After tasting his first defeat just days ago on Genesis, one has to wonder what the mindset of The Russian Ogre will be heading into this bout, will he doubt himself and allow The New Faces of FEAR to snag the win, or will he be meaner than ever so much to the point that Davis won't be able to contain him?
Chris Andrews made a bold challenge two weeks ago when he stepped up to Paul Divine and issued a warning that he'd be coming for the Undisputed World championship. The Bloody Brit now needs to back up his claims before he eats his own words, even more so after his defeat to Furious Frank earlier this week. He has just the opportunity to do that here tonight when he takes on New God's member and Divine's protege, Mike Crimson, but can he get the job done; or will his reach for the belt be cut short?
The allure of Wild Card begins as our first title match of the evening features Sebastian Frost, who got the luck of the draw, challenging "The Greatest Professional Wrestler on the Planet Today", Schmidty, for his CMV United States championship. These two have tangled in the past with the newly wed champ coming out on top, but just as every other defending champion here tonight, Schmidty had no time to prepare for Frost. Will this prove to be too much for him to handle; or will he make his first title defense a successful one?
Extreme Conditions have been on the most dominant Tag Team title run since T & Lee held the illustrious belts, tonight marking their fourth month with the gold. But the luck of the draw has seen fit to throw a curve-ball their way tonight, pairing the CMV International champion, Kaiva, with the still untested, Josh Wolf. We know that the Latvian doesn't play too well with others, and surely having to take a rookie under his wing won't make him a happy man, but the call of more championship gold has most certainly wet his whistle. The question is: can he join the shortlist of CMV superstars who have held two titles at once by working together with the undoubtedly psyched Wolf; or will the tag team experience of Thunder and Jefferson be their downfall?
Before Sam Valentine heads off to begin his new career on Thursday night Genesis, he still has some unsettled business with Jimmaurie Williams to settle here tonight. After The Dream made things personal by costing J-Dub a shot at the CMV United States championship a few weeks ago, Williams no doubt is looking to dish out some serious revenge on his foe and sending him packing whilst gaining some momentum heading into the start of the third annual Cyborg Invitational.
After an up and down week for The Human Fish, getting a victory over Schmidty on Fusion but taking a loss to newcomer Curtis Heist on this past Genesis, El Jefe, is now faced with putting his CMV Light Heavyweight title on the line against the lucky, Bryce Hurt, who after battling giants these past few weeks is no doubt relieved to be fighting someone his own size and for such a huge opportunity.
The luck of the draw has tossed Crowe and Adam Adams together as a team tonight, against Fatal Decision for the CMV Fusion Tag Team titles. This isn't that unusual of a pairing, as Crowe and Double A have teamed up in the past, but their far from a cohesive unit, unlike Sean Kent and Azreal who have proved to be a formidable union. Will fate throw us a curve-ball tonight and spawn brand new Tag Team champs, or will Kent and The BOA give them the BOOT OF DOOM and send 'em home empty-handed?
Perhaps the unluckiest of picks will come in tonight's co-main event, when Bannon will be forced to make his first defense of the CMV Anarchy championship against the mountain of a man, Bludgeon. The Cure is coming into this bout however with a recent win over the Undisputed champion, Paul Divine, under his belt, couple that with the fact that Bludgeon is rarely on his own, usually teaming with Trauma as a part of Desolation, and these may give Bannon the odds he needs to retain his belt. Either that, or he'll be ripped to shreds . . . We'll just have to wait and see . . .
Our main event will feature a star-studded six-man tag team collision, as the Deadly Games tournament is upon us, now just two weeks away at Cause & Effect, The Alpha Male, Furious Frank, buckles up with The Firestarter, Ryan Kent, and The BattleBeast, Kayden Kynra, to take on Primetime, Pierre Thompson, The Barbarian Bison, and good ole Timmy boy himself, Tim LaFave!
