Backstage of CMV’s Battle Scars event, with Jaquan Shay sitting in pain, ice pack and all. An interviewer comes along to ask the rising star some questions

Jaquan, you had an enormous salvation tonight, making another successful defence, against American Justice and Bludgeon and Adam Valentine. What are your thoughts on tonight?

My thoughts? You’re gonna ask me what I think about Ted Dickens’ little experiments trying to run amuck in MY ring. I got two words for you; Hell No!! I mean, I was in a tough situation facing American Justice, namaste Mr Justice. But now I got two cockroaches ran by the rat of rats to take MY championship. So my thoughts on that match are if Ted Dickens want to make the stakes higher, he should know who the winning horse is before putting in all the chips.

So now about the draft. Are you sceptical on where you are gonna be put? Are you wanting to be put on a specific show?

I mean, there’s always the credibility of these enormous superstars, like Tim Lafave, Paul Divine, and others. And for me to be on Genesis, would be a huge honour to bring my talents to Genesis. I seriously consider Genesis being in my future, but it’s not my choice where I go. All I know is I’m out there every night to put on a show, and I’ll be damned if anyone is gonna stop that for me.
