A Word with the Good Brothers
Just outside of the arena in Reno, Nevada, for Genesis episode #136, where in the main event, Xander Slate, will battle the returning, TIM LAFAVE! And Randy Borton takes on The Outcast, Brett Angel, the former CMV World Tag Team champions are stopped by a large crowd of reporters before they can make their way inside. But of course, knowing how big their egos are, they're happy to stop and answer some questions that are BURNING on the minds of the CMV universe. One women, dressed in a slick, black, suit-dress, blonde hair and big blue eyes, steps forward at Borton's request. He winks at her and she blushes, giggling and then clearing her throat to try and maintain a sense of professionalism.
Reporter
Mr. Borton, Mr. Slate, tonight you both have some pretty HUGE matches in front of you, Randy you take on Brett Angel and Xander, via a poll posted on CMV's Twitter account, you will be facing the returning, Tim LaFave! Thoughts?
The Show lowers his aviators and scoffs, then lifting them back up over his eyes, he shakes his head and laughs.
Slate
Look, the CMV universe voted me into this poll for one reason and one reason only; because in their little peanut brains, they think that little Timmy will actually kick my ass! HA! HA I SAY! Tim hasn't been the same since, well I mean, since the beginning of last season! First Furious Frank broke his body and then his daddy broke his mind! He came back, hoping to be the people's hero once again but instead Kliq BROKE his entire being. He says that he's back for only one reason; and that's to deliver payback to everyone that has wronged him, starting with yours truly. But as we saw earlier tonight, he's already in WAY over his head, Luger came out of nowhere and beat him down like the unwanted dog that he is! Tim, he's broke you see, and he can't be fixed. He allowed too many people, yes including myself, to walk all over him because that's what he is, a human doormat. And now he's all muddy and dirty and you can't quite see the letters that spell out, "welcome" anymore, it's time to toss him out. But of course Mama LaFave won't due that because she's bias and a horrible leader who will surely jam him down out throats as per usual. IF he does make it to our match tonight, which I doubt he will after the number ole Bobby boy did on him, then I'll finish him off, end of story.
The Milk Man nods his head in agreement, he gets closer to the reporter and smiles brightly, showing off his pearly whites and in a soft, almost sensual tone, responds.
Borton
As for Brett, every time we've been in the ring together, I've beaten him, tonight won't be any different. Maybe afterwards, you and I can-
Xander nudged him, with he eyes he tells Randy to back off.
Slate
You already have TWO sexual harassment cases against you, man, chill out.
Borton rolls his eyes and the reporter retreats back into the mass of microphones and cameras.
Slate
I'll also say this about Mr. Angel, what he did to me last week was, for lack of a better word, psychotic, and instead of being locked up in a nut-house where he BELONGS, Mrs. LaFave instead decided to give him NO repercussions and a match against my dear friend here. THIS is exactly why, along with MANY other things, the #NoConfidence movement exists!
Slate points to the group of clumped journalists then reaches down for a quick swig from his water bottle.
It's Guy.
He pulls out a tape recorder and hits play.
"Now that your match at Ascendance is a street fight, do you understand how badly you fucked up?"
Slate spits out his water, immediately recognizing the voice in the recording. It's just a matter of pinpointing its owner. His eyes frantically scan the crowd, irises expanding in direct proportion with the rising tension.
Shame he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head.
Or the sides of his head, to be more precise, because that's where Brett Angel comes flying in from like he was shot out of a cannon. He crashes into Borton who in turn smashes into Slate, and all three men take a tumble on the ground. The crowd disperses, cameras flash, the journalists all feeling lucky to be able to get this all on video.
Angel shoves Borton out of the way then mounts Slate. Not a traditional boxing maneuver, but a punch is a punch. He's only able to hit one before security pulls him away, but at least it was a damn good hit.
Angel escorts himself away from the scene, cracking his knuckles while he walk out of the frame.
