A Helping Hand

Only shortly after The Control bullied general manager, Yuri Sukalov, into naming Percy Simmons as the Fusion team captain at Validation, we see the hulking, Jamal Sadana, and the British Brute, Cameron Kray, very obviously looking for someone as they scour the backstage area. They find their target, it's CMV's Hot Commodity, Joey Diaz, readying up for his Anarchy championship match in just a bit, shadow boxing towards a bare wall next to some supply crates, he's oblivious to the pack of wild dogs coming up from behind him. Kray chop blocks Joey's left knee right out from under him, a stinging echo of agony bounces off of the concrete surfaces, traveling further and further away while Jamal pounces on his prey like a lion to the wounded gazelle! The unbeaten tandem then lift Diaz's already mangled body up to his feet, blood trickles from a sharp cut above his right eyes, Sadana and Kray look at one another and then in unison they drive their victim back first into a nearby electrical box, a few sparks even fly out when Joey's flesh meets the steel, the lights flicker, and when they come back on the mission is accomplished. The Control stand firm over what looks like the scene of a horrible mugging gone wrong, that's when Percy Simmons walks up behind his two top lads, putting a hand on either man's shoulder and smirking gleefully. They then all three walk off in silence, the camera zooming in once more on Diaz who has still yet to move, a couple of bystanders moving in to give him aid when the scene cuts to ringside ...
