PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING CAREER
NXT, Feud with Tyler Breeze and winning the NXT Title
LaFave began his run with WWE in NXT and had a short feud with Tyler Breeze. He then rose the ranks and captured the NXT Championship from Kevin Owens at NXT Arrival. He reign lasted less than a day as after winning the title, he dropped it and moved to the main roster.
Joining the Main Roster, Hunt for the Intercontinental Championship and Joining the Authority
LaFave joined the main roster and starred on both SmackDown! and Superstars in his hunt to gain the Intercontinental Championship. After several feuds LaFave became the #1 Contender of the Intercontinental title and beat the then Intercotinental Champion, Goldust in 2018. That night LaFave was approached by Triple H and the Authority to join them to which LaFave agreed; officially turning LaFave Heel. After joining the Authority, LaFave dropped the intercontinental title the next day.
Winning the Money in the Bank, Cashing In and Becoming the World Heavyweight Champion
LaFave would enter the Money in the Bank match in 2018 and win it. The RAW following he would cash in on Brock Lesnar and win the World Heavyweight Championship only a month after dropping the Intercontinental Championship. Before dropping the World Heavyweight Championship, LaFave would ask the Rock to join the Authority and they would become a tag-team.
Tag-Team Belt Hunt
LaFave and the Rock would join forces and rise the ranks of the tag-team rankings and would win the belts from The New Day. Shortly after the Rock and LaFave would drop the belts.
The United States Championship Hunt
LaFave would disband his team with the Rock with a clean break and would join the rankings for the United States Championship. During his rise to the top, LaFave would help Triple H beat down a returning Sting and would but the legend to rest at WrestleMania. After that LaFave would challenge John Cena for the United States Championship in a winning effort. Making LaFave a grandslam winner by capturing all the titles in the WWE at least once. The night after he would drop the belt and return to the World Heavyweight Championship rankings.
World Heavyweight Championship Hunt and Winning the Royal Rumble
On his road to become a 2 time World Heavyweight Champion, LaFave would become an entrant at the upcoming Royal Rumble and at the Pay-Per-View he would enter at number 29 and eliminate the remaining superstars including Dolph Ziggler who entered at 30, solidifying his place at the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
Feud with The Rock and Brock Lesnar and WrestleMania 34
The RAW after the Royal Rumble the Rock would return to WWE and issue a challenge to LaFave. The Authority would come out and LaFave would continue to his show loyalty to the Authority by attacking the Rock. Leading up to Fastlane; LaFave would have numerous encounters the Rock until at the PPV, LaFave would be approached by the Rock again demanding a match at WrestleMania to which LaFave quickly accepted. The RAW before WrestleMania the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar would approach LaFave and the Rock would come out as well. Setting the Main event of WrestleMania. At WrestleMania LaFave would win the World Heavyweight Championship for a second time after submitting the Rock in the MTA.
Feud with John Cena and Extreme Rules
LaFave would attack John Cena, the United States Champion before his match at the RAW following WrestleMania setting up a month long feud culminating in a Championship match at Extreme Rules. At Extreme Rules LaFave would defeat John Cena after using the Cony Island Cyclone through the announcer table and then submit him with the MTA. The RAW following Extreme Rules Lesnar would attack LaFave setting up a new rivalry as he stakes his claim on his rematch clause.
Retirement and Induction into the WWE Hall of Fame
In 2019, after four year career, LaFave would be inducted into the Hall of Fame and subsequently announce his retirement.
