Royce Makes a Signing? Pt. II

A camera cuts on to show Raymond Royce sitting in his office, wearing his normal attire and studying papers. On the opposite side of the desk is two chairs, and in front of those two chairs are what looks like contracts. Suddenly, the camera turns as it hears the office door opening.

Assistant

Mister Royce, Vicious & Delicious are here.

Raymond Royce

About time, bring them in. I don't have all day.

The assistant steps aside and allows Salim Ismail and James Walker to step in. Royce doesn't so much look at the team, but does extend an arm towards the two chairs opposite him. While the two sit down, Royce finishes whatever he was working on. Its a few awkward moments in the room with Royce ignoring the potential prospects and both of them likely being too afraid to interrupt him. Once he finishes his work, he lifts his head up to look at them.

Raymond Royce

You're still here. Good. In front of you are two contracts, one for each of you, to sign with Royce Incorporated and have me represent you both in and out of the business.

Salim and James look at each other, nodding their heads in agreement that this is big. Salim grabs a pen and attempts to sign first, but before he can Raymond has grabbed both papers in one fell swoop, ripping them into four pieces and putting them through his shredder.

Raymond Royce

I was disgusted by your loss on Monday Night Fusion. You two almost looked like a coherent team, but you still lost. And the night before you had a title shot, which you also lost. So I asked myself, 'Why would I sign a pair of losers?', because that's not best for business.

Raymond lets this sink in for a moment, and after noticing the sad look on Salim's face and the defeated one on James, he continues.

Raymond Royce

But ... after rewatching the tape to see what you did wrong, I noticed that Salim here should have broken up the pin, in fact I strongly believe you did. The ref ignored this and continued to count anyways, effectively screwing you out of your match. Since I like my decisions to be based off clean measures, I cannot base your signing off that match.

Raymond stops for a moment to see if the two can figure out where this is going. They can't.

Raymond Royce

I've called in a favor to Mr. Johnny Sampson and requested a rematch of Vicious & Delicious versus The Blood Brothers. If Mr. Sampson comes through, you'll have a second chance to prove yourself to me. If he doesn't, then unfortunately for you this meeting will have been for nothing. Now, get out.

V&D quickly rise from their chairs, James Walker attempting to get out a thank you but being stopped by Salim. They then turn and leave through the door, spirits feeling a little elated.
