Post by Miztacular Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:36 am

And here we are, back again for another season after our short break following the two day season three finale that was Climb 2 Fame, following the two week break the fans around the world are welcomed to a brand new sight upon turning on their television screens with the new and improved look for the UnMatched Brand as the final members of the crowd begin to make their way to their allocated seats the stage becomes clouded with red smoke while pyro erupts from the stage walls. Moments go by and the smoke upon the stage begins to clear, the crowd settle down and await with intrigued looks upon their eyes awaiting what is to come for the brand new season of UnMatched and they are in for a treat as a familiar theme hits the PA system.

Out he comes, to an absolutely overwhelming applause by the live UnMatched crowd. The UnMatched General Manager Eric Matthews, the former two time CMV World Champion, the former two time CMV Television Champion, the season one veteran, coming fresh off of his victory against the now former Intensity General Manager, Thomas Sullivan at Climb 2 Fame. He stands at the top of the ramp, staring across the arena. HIS arena with a smirk across his face knowing he walked out of Climb 2 Fame on top, his brand still standing with him at the helm. He looks around the arena nodding his head, taking the time to take in the energy of the crowd. He raises the microphone held firmly in his hand up to his mouth and yells.

Eric Matthews:
WE DID IT!

The crowd once again leap to their feet with a roar for their General Manager, the adrenaline of being here live, on the show of the winning team souring through their veins as Eric makes his way down the ramp, raising his free hand in the air in the shape of a fist as he walks down, screaming at the top of his lungs, raw emotion coming from his mouth. Matthews makes his way towards the ring, where he begins to scale the steel steps only to stop when he reaches the top, he turns once again to the crowd and raises the microphone to his mouth.

Eric Matthews:
We are... UNMATCHED!

He shouts to another excruciating pop from the crowd who have remained out of their seats since the very moment his theme hit the PA system. Matthews once again nods his head and lets off a smile before turning around and walking across the apron stopping halfway, and stepping through the ropes and into the ring, HIS ring. Eric, completely swept off his feet by the reaction from the crowd, begins to appease them, making his way across the ring to each and every corner, making sure to climb the ropes in each corner where he raises both fists in the air and lets out somewhat of a victory roar for the crowd before finally stepping down and turning towards the hard camera, he raises the microphone to his mouth only to be immediately cut off by the crowd. He lowers his microphone and looks around the arena, nodding his head once more, allowing the crowd to let it all out. Moments go by and the crowd begins to simmer down, to which he then raises the microphone to his mouth finally being able to get a word in.

Eric Matthews:
Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to season 4 of UnMatched and what a night I have in store for you tonight, for the first time in over a year the brands have once again merged as one, myself and the Intensity General Manager went to war at Climb 2 Fame  and it went exactly as I expected, the better man won. But it wasn't just for me! It was for each and everyone of my Superstars in the back, who have the right to be on the greatest show, the fair show, the peoples show. But it wasn't only for them either. Ladies and Gentlemen, it was also for each and everyone of you in the crowd today, watching at home around the world.

Once again the crowd lets out a roar in response to the words of the UnMatched General Eric Matthews who raises his arms, gesturing them on for more. After several moments pass he continues to press on with what is essentially his victory speech.

Eric Matthews:
We all know how much that match at Climb 2 Fame meant. Not only for me, not only for you, not only for the stars at the back, but for CMV in itself. Had i had lost, who knows what would have come of me, who knows what would have come come of the show. But we don't have to worry about that. What we have to worry about is our future together as one on this show. Now I'm sure not everyone coming over from Intensity will be pleased, many made their name on that show. But I can assure each and every one of the Intensity stars that they will get equal treatment. I never had an issue with any of them, my only quarrel was the way the show was ran.

Eric Matthews, lowers his microphone for a brief moment, shaking his head as he continues.

Eric Matthews:
Thomas Sullivan.. A man who cared about nothing but himself and the level of his bank account. A poor leader. He is at his core, proof that to become a good businessman, you have to treat everybody else like crap, you don't treat the people who make you the money, like people. We saw this in full effect on Intensity last season. Hiding behind his fake "Sullivan" bills that he lit up the arena with week after week. From day one he treated me like crap, like his inferior. Which in some way, I was. But he crossed the line last month, he let the power get to his head and he messed up. You see he's not the only one with shares in this company. All it took was a quick phone call to another shareholder in Johnny Sampson and it made it all even. The match was set and the RIGHT man walked out in power. The man who treats his employees with a little bit of respect. So for that opportunity. I'd like a take a second to thank the former UnMatched General Manager, Johnny Sampson.

Eric is once again force to lower his microphone as the crowd begin to chant "Thank you Johnny" over and over again. Matthews even joins in to an extent, tucking the microphone under his armpit and clapping along with the crowd for thirty seconds or so before pulling the microphone out and continuing on.

Eric Matthews:
Of course, I'd love it if Johnny Sampson could be here tonight. But after watching the events of Fusion earlier this week I decided not to give him another thing to think about, his family isn't in the strongest place right now. But nonetheless I'd like to dedicate tonight events to Johnny Sampson and his daughter, Laura Sampson-Schmidt. For tonight, because of him, we have somewhat of a coronation, as UnMatched once again becomes THE show on this side of CMV, and tonight, we must create a warm welcome for the Intensity Superstars who'll be joining our great roster tonight. But before we get to them. Let's bring out the head honcho himself, the man I pinned to the mat for the one, two, three at Climb 2 Fame to retain my spot as the General Manager of UnMatched. The now FORMER, General Manager of Intensity, the Money Major, Thomas Sullivan.

Matthews turns and extends his arm towards the ramp with a somewhat cocky grin on his face awaiting the arrival of his former Intensity counterpart. The very mention of his name causes the crowds so far positive attitude to descend into a chorus of boo's for the CMV veteran.

The crowd continues to layer the arena in a cold sheet of boo's as the seconds go by with no appearance from the former Intensity General Manager, Matthews brings his arms back to his chest and rolls his eyes, raising the microphone to his mouth.

Eric Matthews:
Come on Sullivan! There's no getting away from this one!

As Sullivans theme continues to echo around the PA system, seconds continue to go by before Sullivan is finally brought out from the back, escorted through the curtain by two of the men who were part of Matthew's UnMatched representatives inside King of the Ring. The ever devious one, Simon Hancock and the Future Man, Quantum, surrounding Thomas Sullivan, forcing him out from the back to a crescendo of boo's from this hostile UnMatched crowd. Eric Matthews begins to clap as Sullivan is near enough dragged down the ramp by the two UnMatched Superstars. As this happens, Matthews turns to the far side of the ring and gestures for a microphone from the timekeepers area which is immediately passed to him, now with two microphone's in his hand, he raises one to his mouth.

Eric Matthews:
Welcome Sullivan, to the winning team.

He says with a smug look across his face, while Sullivan on the outside returns a cold stare in Matthews' direction as he's told to make the walk up the steps by Quantum, begrudgingly, he makes his way up the steps, making sure to argue with Quantum every step of the way before stepping through the ropes and into the ring. Followed shorty after by Quantum and Simon Hancock, who remain in a tight flank of Thomas Sullivan. Eric Matthews, now face to face with Sullivan, lets off a smile before tossing a microphone to his feet, watching on as Sullivan retrieves it like a dog retrieving a bone at the order of it's master.

Eric Matthews:
Well Sullivan. First and foremost, because I'm not sure you heard me the first time. Welcome, to UnMatched, the winning team. The A show. The show that you claimed the most "mediocre" stars called home. The show that went toe to toe with Intensity across a seven match tournament, a six man ladder match, and must we not forget, our singles match, and UnMatched went on to win eight of those nine matches, cost you your job as General Manager, and Intensity as a whole. So now, Thomas. In retrospect. Is UnMatched a mediocre show, full of mediocre talent?

Thomas Sullivan, stares back at Eric Matthews, with a blank expression on his face. Refusing to answer. Matthews simply smiles.

Eric Matthews:
You're going to have to get it over with Sullivan. Long it out as much as you want it just makes it that much sweeter than me. Don't get me wrong Thomas. This is not normally my style. You, the people in the back and the CMV Universe all around the world know exactly the kind of Superstar I am. The kind that looks out for others, the kind who maintains a respectful demeanour, but after what you put me through in the build up to Climb 2 Fame. I think I deserve to let off a little bit of steam. I think you deserve to feel what it's like to be the man without power. So Thomas, I ask you. Is UnMatched a mediocre show, with mediocre talent?

Matthews looks at Sullivan with a smirk slapped across his face, truly feeling as if he'd earned this moment. Sullivan turns his head, grits his teeth, swallows his pride and raises the microphone to his mouth.

Thomas Sullivan:
No..

Matthews raises an eyebrow, looking to respond.

Eric Matthews:
What was that sorry? I didn't quite catch it.

Sullivan looks back with a look of disdain on his face and replies through gritted teeth.

Thomas Sullivan:
No.. UnMatched is NOT mediocre.

Matthews nods his head briefly before pressing on.

Eric Matthews:
That's exactly right Thomas. We are not lesser, we are not weaker, we are not mediocre. You know what we are?

Matthews raises his microphone high into the air and shout's along with the crowd "UNMATCHED!"

Eric Matthews:
You see Sullivan. If the sides were flipped, and the tables were turned, you'd be doing things far worse than what I'm doing. You'd probably have me fight for my career in a seven on one handicap match. But I'm not a bad guy. I'm just treating you as you deserve for how you have acted. Nonetheless you shouldn't fear Thomas. For you will not lose your job here in CMV. You lost your position as Intensity General Manager and that is enough for me. From now on you'll be back in the ring, treated the same as any other wrestler on my roster, to prove I'm not lying, you'll be starting next week. I am a fair man Thomas, and now that our beef is in the past I hope we can move forward. Only now you'll be the one without the power.

But Thomas Sullivan is not the only matter I had to deal with tonight, because ladies and gentlemen we have a whole roster of Superstars to welcome to the show, so get out of your seats and give them some noise! The Superstars of Intensity!

Eric Matthews lowers his microphone down to his waist and points toward the stage as the various faces of Intensity make their way out from the back to the top of the ramp, names from the likes of Rage, the current CMV Global Champion, Ringo Maxx, the current CMV Television Champion, all the way down to new faces such as Desean Johnson all make their way out from the back to a emphatic ovation from the UnMatched crowd. Matthews joins in clapping for the majority of the Intensity Roster who have chosen to make their way out from the back.

Eric Matthews:
Now like I said at the top of the show, I'm sure some of the Intensity guys aren't exactly happy with the change, but overtime it is one you will all become accustomed to! To prove that I will treat you as fairly as my UnMatched stars, I'm going to announce it right now. A six man tag team match between three of Intensity's greats, the veteran of CMV, Kevin Payne, one of the most underrated stars on the Intensity roster, Jacob Hardway, and the rising Brazilian Superstar, Vitor Belfort Jr. These three Intensity men will go toe to toe with three of the UnMatched greats, D'Angelo St. Daniels, Bryan Novak, and Chris Adams in a six man tag team match, in which the winning team will all face eachother in a triple threat match to determine the NEW Number One Contender for the CMV Global Championship at Ground Zero!

With that announcement, out from the back the former three time European Champion and former Undisputed Champion, Bryan Novak, the former two time CMV World Champion, D'Angelo St. Daniels and the former three time CMV World Champion and former CMV Television Champion Chris Adams join the group of Intensity Superstars at the top of the stage.

Eric Matthews:
You see that! With announcements like this, the rosters begin to blend, as one! But that isn't the only announcement I have for you in the crowd tonight, and everyone watching at home around the world.

Eric Matthews turns to Quantum and Simon Hancock in the ring.

Eric Matthews:
The two of you helped me in my crusade to end the tyranny of Thomas Sullivan. For that, you deserve to be rewarded! Quantum, the fourth Annual King of the Ring Winner! You will not have to wait a whole month to get the crack at the Championship that has eluded you your entire career! For your opportunity will come tonight! In the Main Event, you will go toe to toe with the current CMV World Champion, Jaymes Landon Vain!

The crowd explodes at the announcement of not just any Title match, but a World Championship match, tonight on the fallout of Climb 2 Fame, the season premiere of season 4! Quantum nods his head in appreciation while Eric Matthews beckons towards the group on the stage, to which Quantum leaves the ring and makes his way up to the ramp to join, while out from the back comes the CMV World Champion, Jaymes Landon Vain, making his way to the front of the stage, joining the group which, at the start of the segment, was just Intensity guys, but has since began to blend into a mix of the two shows.

Eric Matthews:
That's right people, but I'm not done there! Hancock! You gave it your all in the build up to the King of the Ring, and while you may not have gone as far as Quantum, you deserve to be rewarded for your efforts. Ever since your debut on the road to iMPLOSION you have complained that you haven't been given a true challenge, that all you've dealt with is clowns. Well let me tell you, you beat that clown, you beat Boso at Redemption Road, the very same Boso that has a win over the current CMV European Champion, George King. So, tonight, right here on UnMatched, you will go toe to toe with none other than Takeshi Matsumoto, in a number one contenders match for said European Championship in which the winner will have a crack at the belt at Ground Zero in four weeks!

Eric Matthews extends a hand to Simon Hancock, who has to force himself to hold back any shenanigans while shaking the hand of Eric Matthews before leaving the ring to join the group at the top of the stage. Matthews turns his attention to the stage and continues on.

Eric Matthews:
You see, within a few minutes, the group on the stage that was once the Intensity roster, has now become something new, something different, a true merger of both rosters! But that just leaves you Sullivan. You are the remnant of Intensity. It's time to put and end to the past and look towards the future. So.. What will it be.

Eric Matthews lowers his microphone and stares at Sullivan, who simply stares back. Moments pass, and just as Sullivan looks to raise the microphone to his mouth he's interrupted by a static and a swift cutting of the lights.

The lights begin to flicker, and with that, three additional figures can be seen inside the ring, moments pass and the lights are back on revealing Syndicate. Chet Taylor, Aaron Waite, and Cody Douglas, all three men equipped to the teeth with various weaponry, from bats, to chairs to sledgehammers. Sullivan, sending a rescue, drops the microphone and steps backwards with a smile on his face, remembering the deal he made with Syndicate heading into King of the Ring last season. The three men close in on Matthews who drops his microphone, throwing in one quick punch to the jaw of Chet Taylor before he's taken off his feet by chair shot after chair shot. Thomas Sullivan rolls to the outside of the ring to retrieve a chair of his own while the beat down continues inside the ring. Moments later Sullivan returns, attempting to direct traffic with a cocky grin on his face. However Syndicate refuse to listen to him. Sullivan grabs Chet by the shoulder, pulling him back. Chet turns around with a look on his face matched only by the devil and smacks Sullivan in the stomach with his patented baseball bat. Staring down over the downed former Intensity General Manager and the downed UnMatched General Manager he smiles. He crouches down and picks up both microphones, passing one over to Aaron Waite, and keeping the other for himself, allowing Cody to ensure the two men at their feet stay put.

A lot of you won't read this because of the sheer size of it and honestly shame on you. This is a masterpiece of a promo that will likely go unnoticed and it's honestly a damn shame. Hayden, fucking fantastic job. Anyone who reads this who hasn't read the promo, show some appreciation for what this site actually is and put aside a few minutes of your day.

Told Cop how fantastic this was earlier on FB. Glad to see i'm not the only one giving feedback. I loved this. It was a well written ending to a story and looks to have built a firm foundation for a new one. Loved the humility shown from Sullivan after his loss. Normally people aren't willing to put down their caw like that for the good of a story but Cop had no problem with it and it only added to the intensity of the amount of change coming to this side of CMV. Perfection. Good shit. If this doesn't motivate yall to start cracking some stories on this side of CMV then I don't know what will.

Chet Taylor
Hello Matthews.....
I’ll let my presence sink in a little, because like most, I’m sure you’re even more surprised to see me standing let alone talking in an Unmatched ring, especially considering the circumstances. I know you all are probably getting sick and tired of me coming on to shows selling the people on news like some newsboy and thats just too bad. What’s wrong? Does the sound of my voice have your body trembling? Is that fear reeking off your body? Is it because you know that you are defiantly not safe!?
You know, it really is a shame what happened at Climb to Fame. An absolute travesty of night in my opinion. First off we got that walking quack Rage take gold in the hell in a cell match, save for its deliciously ghastly gore and mayhem, it was a shame of match with a shame of champion emerging. Rage is a man soo confused by himself that cannot decide if he wants to be hated by the masses, elevated in their eyes as some kind of hardcore hero, appreciate for his tireless efforts to breath life into a dead title or exonerated for all the sins of last few months. It is exhausting trying to keep up with it all.

Chet glares deeply into the camera, a scowled frown of frustration and obvious anger on his face.

Chet Taylor
Then of course we have that “exquisite” match between you, Matthews and Sullivan, a match only made because two grown adults got a crackingly terrible case of the "I Wannas". Two squabbling and mewling prims like them should have never been given the opportunity to run a show, regardless of their “pedigree”. Pedigree are for show dogs. Though I guess it does make since. It was mostly just two bitches barking, growling, and snarling at each other.

Cody lets out a stifled bit of laugher. Aaron Waite just loom like a specter.

Chet Taylor
All that is fine and well but what I really want to say I how disappointed I am in the ending of the match. Matthews, I want you to know something, no, I need you to understand something. You crossed the God damn shit line. Ruinning my all of my work just when I got shit started really pissed me off, and yeah I’ll give you credit, you set me back real bad, and once again I'm back at square one. Its a shame. A true shame. You talk about this elite roster your bringing together but you made the same mistake every other holder of such a "great roster". How long do you think until the blood runs black here?

The scowl is soon replaced by slowly spreading smile.

Chet Taylor
My track record speaks for itself ask your keyboard warrior indie friends about Dragonhouse UK and Intensity I was just getting started and I look to make sure my fun continues on Unmatched and my fun starts in that number one contender match you just spoke of.

Chet’s tone is rising, his voice cut through the ambient noise of his surroundings like a knife.

Listen to me closely, feel safe for a second, because from this moment on, you are no longer safe! Every corner you turn, I could be there. Every dark hallway you walk down, I could be there. Every match you have, every title defense you have, I could show up and ruin it. Every hotel you stay in, every limo you ride in, no matter where you go or where you hide, I could be there. Like a shadow I will follow you and haunt you from the darkness. Every move you make I will be there waiting to strike! And even when I am not, one day, I will be there, and Matthews… When I am… I’ll make sure you stay down. You ran and hide. You lost your nerve, if you ever even had it, and try to play hero. And that just strikes me as unacceptable. You see I am a bastard. A right evil and vile bastard. This isn't just babbling of a sociopath I mean what I said But you don’t have to believe us, neither of you do. Next week, we’re going to show you and the puppets of this world that we’re the judge, jury and exectuioner!....and we’re just sellin’ you the news.
