Fists of Steel Empty Fists of Steel

Post by krzy Mon Nov 06, 2017 9:04 pm

Moments before her match against Jenny Wheeler, Samantha Steel finds herself being dragged down a hallway by Szarzemis, the masked woman's fingers wrapped tight around Steel's wrist.

They're approached by an interviewer who looks like she drew the short stick in having to deal with this unlikely pairing. Skarzemis lets go of Steel who immediately crosses her arms around her chest looking like she'd rather be anywhere but here.

Interviewer: Hey guys, I'm, like the rest of the CMV Universe, is a little confused about this pairing.

Steel shakes her head and leans toward the interviewer.

Steel: You think you're confused? When Cole Savage contacted me about being a client, I wasn't expecting this! Where is Miss Roxanne?

She goes to continue, but Skarzemis laughs and puts her index finger over Steel's lips.

Jenny Wheeler so young and naive
Will look so beautiful as she bleeds
Her last words, jovial cries for mercy
From the onslaught of Samantha Steel

She chuckles as Steel nods in approval.

Steel: That's something I can get behind. Now do the thing.

Skarzemis reaches into her bag and pulls out a baseball bat that she hands to Steel. Steel taps the bat against her palm and smirks before the duo walks off.

Loved this segment, was small and sweet. Love how steel went from confused to determined at the sheer potential to crack someone's head in.

Fists of Steel Empty Re: Fists of Steel

Tell me if you've heard this one before...
A tale that will touch your heart, for sure...

The voice is heard before any image is seen, but it doesn't long for something to come into focus as the darkness dissipates. What's shown, or rather who, is Skarzemis, sitting cross-legged on the ground, flickering candles surrounding her in a crude circle. The dancing flames perfectly illuminate her mask, on which images seem to change every time it's out of sight, her eyes nowhere to be seen.

She reaches behind her, humming a tune to herself that only she knows, content with being the source of her joy. She pulls off the backpack, reaches inside and takes out a large book that shouldn't have been able to fit in there. You can almost see the smile under her mask as the humming bleeds into singing, melodies becoming lyrics. Skar repeats herself.

Tell me if you've heard this one before...
A tale that will touch your heart, for sure...

She laughs, and there's no malicious intent or venom within the chuckles, it's as pure of a sound you can get. She flips open the book and turns to a page a dozen or so pages within. The camera swivels around her, shifting to an over the shoulder viewpoint revealing the contents of the page to be Samantha Steel. It's a picture of her just a week or two ago celebrating her victory.

Skarzemis shakes her head and turns to a page in the book a few leaves before that one. It's a picture of Samantha Steel making her way down the ramp on the night that would turn out to be the last time she would hold the Intercontinental Championship.

Skar sighs.

One of the saddest things you may ever see. The final night of a career height that to this day has not been replicated or bested.

Instead of scaling mountains, she's trudging through plateus.

It's not fair, and it's a shame. Sssssamantha! She could be so much more, and she knows it. And it makes her angry. And it makes her scary. And it makes her dangerous.

It makes her a threat. She's hungry for it. She needs it. And it's my job to help her get it: the Undisputed Championship. The most prestigious prize in all the lands that will prove once and for all that Samantha is the most lethal fighter to ever decide to use her fists as a weapon.

Skarzemis turns to a part in the book that has a picture of Kitty Quinn-Belle, the reigning Undisputed Champion, on one side, and the woman gunning for that belt, Fury on the facing page.

Waiting is a toxin to the impatient soul...
The moving of posts to delay the goal...

She flips to another page deeper in the book showing the money in the bank holder hoisting that briefcase high in the air.

And then there's the x-factor, but we're not afraid. It's just another piece is this game that we're willing to play until the end.

She turns to the very last page of the book. On that page is a black and white picture of Samantha Steel holding the Undisputed Championship in the air.

How the--

She snaps the book shut, laughing as she stuffs it back into the bag.

The chapters leading up to that moment are still being written.

It won't be long now.

Fists of Steel Empty Re: Fists of Steel

Post by krzy Fri Dec 01, 2017 5:59 pm

As the time ticks down toward her tag team bout against a bitter rival and a increasing irritating thorn in her side, two-time Intercontinental Champion Samantha Steel is in the zone. The woman with a right hook that could fell a mountain is shadow boxing backstage, each strike thrown with ease, with precision, with the fantasy of either of her opponents being on the receiving end.

There's a look of intensity on her face. A look of determination. As tendrils of hair fall over her face, as ragged breaths fly past her lips in harmony with her swift strikes, Steel realizes that once she's able to silence two singing birds with a single blow, it will mean two fewer obstacles on her path to capture the grandest prize in Ferocity.

Her grunts, the movement of the fabric that makes up her top, the sound of her shoe hitting the ground as she plants her boot, it all echoes into this empty hallway. A symphony of violence. Another sound decides to chime in. Faint at first, but the humming is unmistakable as it moves through the hallway.

Steel looks up to locate the source of the intrusion and her expression and composure change in a flash. Steel stands, arms crossed over her chest watching with squinted eyes as Skarzemis skips into the frame, humming a song with an irregular cadence, a tune only known to her. Steel speaks first, cutting the music, her tone harsh.

"Just what the hell was that?" She asks, the volume of her voice rising with every syllable. "You're wrestling the same night you're supposed to be my tag team partner?"

Skarzemis isn't taken aback at all, and while Miss Roxanne might have defaulted to yelling back to reaffirm her position in the hierarchy, Skarzemis only giggles in response--a sound that would be adorable coming from a little girl turned unsettled by a woman with eyes you can't see with a mask that muffled and distorts her voice.

"Yeah, wasn't it great? I got my hands on their skin, held tight and fed on the fear within."

Steel wipes stray strands of hair out of her eyes. "Stop that. You were supposed to be going over a gameplan with me, not out there wearing yourself out. Sure I could probably beat them on my own anyway, but why take the chance of a fluke happening?"

"Wins and losses lose their luster when the glistening red and gasps for reprieve are so much more delicious."

"No! I said stop that. We need to win. I need to win. Dynamite needs to be knocked down to the bottom of the ladder once and for all; and Wheeler can't be allowed to climb at in the first--"

Steel's cut off as Skarzemis puts her index finger on Steel's lips then hushes her.

"Their night will end with--"

Steel knocks Skarzemis' finger away. "Don't touch me! I'm leaving. Try not to wrestle another match while I'm gone."

She turns to walk away and Skarzemis falls in step behind her. Steel snaps around, "Stop!" She spins back around before heading down the hall, while Skarzemis stays in place.

A few seconds later Steel reappears, an exasperated look on her face.

"Are you serio--" She thinks better of it, not wanting to engage with Skarzemis again. She walks away again complaining to herself as her words echo in the hallway. The screen fades as Skarzemis resumes her humming.

Fists of Steel Empty Re: Fists of Steel

Post by krzy Mon Dec 04, 2017 12:34 pm

You can almost feel the earth tremble with every step Samantha Steel takes as she storms down this hallway.

Jaw tight, fists clenched, the victory she took right from Jenny Wheeler hasn't don't much to soothe her, like getting a sip of water on a scorching hot day.

"Skar," it comes out as a growl when she says it, the name not reaching far past her lips before its obliterated by the aura of anger that surrounds her.

"SKAR!" This time it's a yell. This time it booms down the corridor echoing several times throughout its journey. Skarzemis should have answered by now if she was anywhere in the state, much less the building, to hear her name being belted out, but that she hasn't yet says she's either too scared to answer, or hasn't yet because she's Skarzemis and operates on a different frequency.

Steel sharply turns a corner her words flavored with the frustration she's feeling. "Have you really not moved from this spot? I can't--"

And then she lays eyes on the scene.

And then she stops talking.

And then she stops walking.

And then she tries to process what's in front of her.

And then she tries to speak again but the words just won't come out.

And then she takes a hesitant step forward.

And then a smirk creeps onto her face.

And then she begins clapping.

And then she begins moving closer.

The camera swivels around to an over-the-shoulder view. Skarzemis indeed hasn't moved from the spot where Steel left her before she left to compete in the tag team-turned-singles match.

But she isn't alone.

Skarzemis sits cross-legged on the floor singing to herself as if oblivious to the fact that Jade Dynamite is on the floor next to her, struggling under the weight of the bag that Skarzemis is always carrying around. But she also seems oblivious to the presence of Steel, who doesn't appear to be as upset as she was moments before.

Steel squats down and pokes Dynamite on the arm just to make sure this isn't some kind of dream. Skarzemis reaches over for the bag and pulls out the book. She flips to the last page, to that black and white picture of Steel with the Undisputed Championship. Except now there's a little color to it now, a section on the top right.

"...with the overwhelming weight of disappointment," she says, finishing her sentence from earlier. She snaps the book shut and gets to her feet, effortlessly lifting the bag off of Dynamite as she does so.

Dynamite coughs violently, finally being able to fill her lungs with air after God knows how long she's been here. Humming to herself, Skarzemis slings the bag over her shoulder and wanders off leaving Steel still squatting over an aching Dynamite. There she lies, one of the most dominate champions in CMV history, vulnerable and alone and at the mercy at one of the unapologetically vicious wrestlers in CMV history. But Steel doesn't press the issue the point has been made, the imprint bound to be eternal. So Steel just ruffles the hair of Dynamite with a smirk on her face, giving that action as much condescension and patronization as she can. Still smirking, she straightens up and walks off leaving Dynamite to her predicament.

Skarzemis is sitting cross-legged on the ground, thumbing through her book, humming to herself, finding reprieve in the solitude. From the view over her shoulder, the pictures on the pages are all various moments from Jade Dynamite's career. Every time Skarzemis turns the page, she says Dynamite's name in a tone that conveys humor, arousal, frustration, happiness, sadness--a smorgasbord of emotions oozing from a voice that barely surpasses a whisper.

The page she's looking at shows Dynamite making her debut, awe in her eyes, completely oblivious to the knowledge of the direction her career would take.

"Jade Dynamite..."

The next picture shows Dynamite in the middle of an impassioned cry as she celebrates what would go on to be a historic title reign.

"Jade Dynamite..."

A low point now as Dynamite tried to fend off the unsettling Pandora.

"Jade Dynamite..."

Finally, a shot of a situation that occurred recently of Dynamite blindsiding Steel by aggressively following Steel into the bathroom and cornering her.

"Dynamite. But you're really just a firecracker these days..."

Skarzemis turns to the final page where Steel celebrates with the Undisputed Championship, the black and white picture filled with a little less color after Steel's disappointing outing during her last match. She snaps the book shut and jovially chuckles, a sound filled with pure joy, not even a hint maliciousness behind it.

"So you can't burn hot enough anymore."

Fists of Steel Empty Re: Fists of Steel

Post by krzy Tue Jan 23, 2018 3:13 pm

The sound of a heartbeat pounding away rhythmically plays in the background of this currently black screen.

It's a sadistically soothing cadence that's immediately broken when an image of Jade Dynamite flashes across the screen, stylized in a way that makes it seem more like an illustration than an even that actually occurred.

The heartbeat picks up the pace as each turn of a page details Samantha Steel's battle with an old foe until the heart is racing once we're taken to the climax of the match, each beat now impossible to distinguish from the one before or after it.

But as the match ends, and Dynamite's hand is raised in victory, the heart begins to slow down.

Dynamite stands on the turnbuckle and raises an arm.

The heart beats slower still.

A picture of the ring of Steel kneeling in the ring, in pain and frustrated at the unsuccessful outing.

Flatline.

The screen fades to black as the image of Steel in defeat burns up and the ashes blow away.

Through the blackness whispers are heard. Just one at first, then too many to count, but the most audible one is whispering loud enough to be heard saying, "You can't die yet."

As soon as the last syllable is spoken, a picture of the Undisputed Championship is shown on the screen. As it rests there, the background noise is almost impossible to hear. But the sound gathers strength as though the source were awakening from a long slumber.

The heartbeat.

It continues to amass its strength settling into a cadence that's louder than it was in the beginning -- a picture of that number one contender's elimination chamber now on the screen.

Skarzemis speak sounding eerily similar to the whispers from earlier.

A purpose renewed.

thump-thump

A destiny in focus.

thump-thump

Justice.

thump-thump

Bryan.

thump-thump

Necessary sacrifices.

Fists of Steel Empty Re: Fists of Steel

Dawn Bryan is making her way up the ramp in a continued celebration over her victory in a thrilling match that has now granted her entry into the elimination chamber match. She's midway up the ramp when Skarzemis' theme hits the speakers sparking a mixed reaction of cheers and boos to rise up out of the crowd. Boos for her associations, cheers for almost the same reasons.

Despite her client losing, and looking pissed off about as she kneels outside of the ring watching to see how this plays out, Skarzemis' demeanor is the complete opposite. You can almost see the smile playing on her lips, ever underneath the mask, as she strolls, almost dances onto the stage.

She rhythmically moves down the ring his harmony with her music, and as she passes Bryan on the ramp she cheerily waves as though it weren't Bryan who just cost her client a spot in the chamber and a shot at the Undisputed Championship. Skarzemis dances around the ring, waves at Samantha Steel as she walks by, then picks up a microphone by the announcers area.

Joy!

Joy!

Are you okay?

Please tell me that you'll be okay.

I need you, Joy. Promise me that after tonight you'll be all right.

You let us down for the second time. Your failures have let the colors fade. Maybe the shedding of your blood -- bright, red, alive -- will bring the color back!

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

What are we gonna go with you, Joy?

What are we gonna do...

Skarzemis reaches into her bag and begins to remove items. A stop sign... A barbed-wire covered 2x4... A kendo stick...

It's almost too hard to choose the best one. But I bet finding the tool that will inflict the right amount of pain will be just as fun.

Cause you should survive when it's all over.

But you shouldn't be the same.

As you are now, you've failed. Time and time again like a poison left unchecked that's seeped into our careers...our lives.

We can't have that!

As you are now, it's due time that you're scrubbed clean of the disappointment so that you don't reek anymore.

Skarzemis giggles as joy begins to stir, and the masked woman hops down from the apron and stands beside Steel.

I always believed in you, Joy.

Maybe things could have played out different.

We could have been best friends!

But you tried to drag us down with you, and friends don't do that.

Steel picks up the 2x4 off the ground and tries to rush the ring, but Skar holds her back.

All that's left is to make sure that you're okay, Joy.

What comes next won't be as fun if you're already half dead!

She laughs.

A genuine, gleeful laugh that echoes through the speakers as she turns and walk up the ramp. Steel eyes the weapon in her hand, then looks at Joy, a devilish, malicious smirk now on her face as she imagines what it will be like once the events Skarzemis has foretold begins to play out. Steel follows Skarzemis up the ramp, dragging the piece of wood behind her, taking her to keep it close just in case her itchy trigger finger decides that it's time to have some fun.

Fists of Steel Empty Re: Fists of Steel

Post by krzy Wed Jan 31, 2018 5:33 pm

Skar tilts her head to the side, taking a moment to consider Justice's words--the challenge enticing, the prospect of bloodshed alluring.

The crowd builds up from a murmur to a buzz that multiplies with each second that goes by with Steel standing on the stage with a 2x4 and Justice at ringside with a kendo stick, eyes locked, muscles tensed, brains waiting to give the "attack" order. They may have just witnessed a heated battle in that triple threat, but now that the idea has been planted into their heads, they're itching for these two women to forgo rules, mercy and morality to prove a point and beat the hell out of each other.

There comes a moment when Steel gets tired of waiting. She grabs the weapon with both hands then takes a confident step forward, daring Justice to respond. But when she doesn't get the reaction she intended, the flinch, the sharp inhalation of breath, a step back, Steel takes another step, the crowd getting just a little louder as a potential clash of warriors edges closer to inevitable rather than possible. Steel goes to take another step, but Skarzemis' words halts her where she stands.

Steel turns her head toward Skar who repeats herself.

UnChained...

Steel smirks as she puts the pieces the rest of the puzzle together herself.

The more the merrier!

The time and date now out in the open, Justice now has time to heal and Steel has time to think of even more wicked ways to inflict pain than she could on the fly. Steel and Skarzemis head to the back, but Justice is still holding onto that kendo stick, just in case, as the show fades into a backstage segment.
